Assessment of transboundary waters
• Developed under the work plan of the Water
Convention
• First report ready in 2007 for the Belgrade
Ministerial Conference Environment for Europe
• Will cover rivers, lakes and groundwaters
• Specific focus on EECCA and SEE
• Will include information on the basins, M&A
programmes, pressures and state, and future trends
• Benchmark progress in the Convention’s
implementation and in water management in UNECE
