2. Introduction
 In addition to working as managing director of CiSK Ventures, Ltd., in
Houston, Texas, Ivor R. Ellul serves as chief technical officer of
Promethean Energy Corporation and sits on the board of directors for
the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Ivor Ellul is also the chairman of
Pipeline Simulation Interest Group (PSIG), which is currently preparing
for its 50th Annual Conference.
Each year, the PSIG Annual Conference brings together approximately
200 people representing oil and gas companies, as well as consultancies
and academic institutions from North America, Australia, Asia, and
Europe. The two-and-a-half-day meeting explores a variety of subjects
related to fluid pipeline systems via informal paper presentations.
PSIG's 50th Annual Conference will take place May 14-17, 2019, at the
Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London. PSIG has selected papers for the
conference and is currently in the advanced planning stages.
