The music video “Buzzin” have two male rappers who wear casual clothes
such as jeans, t-shirts and sports jacket, most commonly with jewellery;
grills, diamond, gold necklaces, watches and snapbacks. The use of
convention is shown in this music video as the two rappers are dressed to
fit the stereotypes of the music genre.
3. Lighting
The lighting in hip-hop videos are generally neutral,
sometimes it is light to show the power of a character and
following the conventions, this video has a bright light
showing cars and the artists in the warehouse.
4. Setting
Furthermore, the setting in the music video includes social areas like VIP
areas in clubs and driving in luxury cars. The video first takes place in a car
warehouse which gives the audience a hint that the cars are expensive and
luxurious and are used to represent the wealth of both artists. The setting
then moved to an area that has a lot of palm trees which represents the
lifestyle of luxurious.
The “Buzzin” song by 50 Cent and Mann is based on how men attract the
females through the use of Money, Cars and Lifestyles and this particular
song has become extremely popular and gained a top chart in the UK in
the first few weeks of release.
