Honeywell Acquires Ballard Unmanned Systems
Honeywell has acquired assets from privately held Ballard Unmanned Systems, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Southborough, Mass.-based Ballard Power Systems Inc. Ballard
Unmanned Systems designs and produces industry-leading, stored-hydrogen proton
exchange membrane fuel cell systems that power unmanned aerial systems (UAS),
particularly those used for energy inspection, cargo delivery, and other commercial and
defense applications where demand for UAS services is growing. Honeywell is acquiring
the key intellectual property, inventory and equipment of Ballard Unmanned Systems.
Ballard's team of fuel-cell experts will also join Honeywell as part of the acquisition.Fuel
cells function much like traditional batteries but with a key difference: They don't run out
of power or need to be recharged. A fuel cell uses the chemical energy of hydrogen or
another fuel to cleanly and efficiently produce electricity. Unmanned aerial systems
powered by fuel cells can fly longer distances, are quiet and have zero greenhouse gas
emissions.Ballard Unmanned Systems' fuel cell power systems can run up to three times
longer than batteries and are five times more reliable than small engines. Furthermore,
unlike traditional gas engines that have carbon emissions, they utilize hydrogen, a clean
source of energy.
Executive Commentary
"Adding Ballard Unmanned Systems to the Honeywell family is another example of
our commitment to invest in the growing UAS segment," said President and chief
executive officer, Honeywell Aerospace. "We can now begin producing top-quality,
scalable power systems for our UAS customers and eventually adapt these systems
for other future aerospace, defense and adjacent segment applications."

Executive Commentary
SimiGon’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman commented:
“SimiGon’s core business supporting military aircrew training through direct
Government contract and subcontracts has been adversely affected by the
coronavirus (COVID-19). Despite numerous contracts delays, we have continued to
work through the challenges, making our programme deliveries and support while
receiving a contract extension from the USAF for RPA training. The ongoing R&D
efforts in XR and maintenance training are creating significant future growth
potential. This has made SimiGon a more cohesive, focused and ready-made
company for the challenges to come.We are continually reassessing our prospects
given the dynamic environment and restrictions imposed across our international
business but have concluded that performance for the financial year will be behind
that of 2019. This is unfortunate but understandable in the circumstances, and given
that existing long-term relationships have remained strong, our contracts remain in
place if delayed, and, with a resilient financial position, we are confident in the
longer term prospects for the business.”

Airbiquity Launches OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator To Help Automakers
Manage Connected Vehicle Software
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
4
Solution Description
Airbiquity®, the global leader of connected vehicle services, launched its OTAmatic® Vehicle Configurator, a tool for defining and managing connected vehicle software. The OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator
gives automakers insight into the exact hardware and software configurations within a vehicle, manage known combinations of electronic control units (ECUs) and software versions in vehicles, and meet
emerging government compliance requirements for type certified vehicle systems. In recent years, the number of vehicle ECUs receiving software updates via over-the-air (OTA) technology has been steadily
increasing, making it difficult for automakers to track and manage software configurations across their fleets. As these ECUs receive OTA software updates over time, different software permutations will appear
in the field as not all vehicles will be updated at the same time. This results in a multitude of software combinations which need to be tracked and managed by the automaker for vehicle maintenance and
regulatory compliance. The OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator gives automakers the power to address these issues and better control the software configurations in their vehicles. The OTAmatic Vehicle
Configurator:
• Deploys software only in approved combinations. Minimizes unanticipated issues by ensuring software contained in tens to hundreds of independent ECUs in a vehicle are limited to prevalidated
configurations tested and approved by automakers.
• Provides a breakdown of vehicles in the field. Reports the exact version of software and hardware installed in vehicles so automakers can understand the state of their vehicle fleets.
• Displays a history of vehicle configurations. Allows automakers to compare configurations for vehicle lines or individual vehicles to understand changes over time.
• Works with Airbiquity’sOTAmatic software management system. Configuration candidates can automatically be created from factory feeds of newly manufactured vehicles or by importing Bill of Materials
(BOMs) using a web-based tool, then provided to automakers for review and approval. Configurations can also be provided for review when a vehicle reports a new combination from the field.
• Works with non-Airbiquity OTA software management systems. Existing OTA systems can be enhanced by Vehicle Configurator integration using supplied APIs.
• Enables regulatory compliance for tracking type certified vehicle systems. Allows automakers to record the software (RXSWIN) associated with the type certification of a vehicle system and supports
UNECE (WP.29) requirements for tracking software updates.

Solution Description
3D Systemsinventor of 3D Printing and creator of Virtual Surgical Planning for craniomaxillofacial (CMF) applications - is announcing that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
has provided 510(k) clearance for maxillofacial surgical guides 3D printed using its LaserForm® Ti and DuraForm® ProX PA materials. The new clearance allows for more innovative
surgical guide designs that improve performance and is the latest delivery on 3D Systems’ customer-centric approach to address the needs of surgeons performing maxillofacial and
reconstructive surgeries. 3D Systems’ surgical guides produced using these materials as part of its VSP® System offer unprecedented flexibility in design options, and are capable of
having lower profile designs to enhance visibility and access in the surgical site, while also possessing improved strength and rigidity. Creating patient-specific surgical guides as part
of the VSP System has been shown to save surgeons and patients hours in the operating room. As a pioneer in the personalized medicine space, 3D Systems’VSP technology received
FDA market clearance as a service-based approach to personalized surgery, combining expertise in medical imaging, surgical simulation, and 3D printing. The surgeon initiates the
process, bringing their clinical knowledge and desired surgical plan to an online web meeting with a 3D Systems biomedical engineer to simulate and plan the surgical procedure. The
outcome is a digital plan that is transferred to the operating room via accurate 3D printed patient-specific models, guides, and templates. 3D Systems has provided VSP solutions or
anatomical services in more than 120,000 unique patient cases.3D System’s new material options allow for innovative surgical guide designs that improve performance in surgery. It
is now possible to design surgical guides with less overall material bulk while improving strength and durability. Mechanical testing shows that Titanium cutting and marking guides
produced in LaserFormTi are 20x stronger than traditional guides.4 With the improvement in strength, Titanium fibula cutting guides can be 70% thinner than traditional guides –
facilitating improved access to the surgical site. Similarly, Nylon marking guides produced in DuraFormProX PA exhibit up to 88% higher toughness 4 – rendering them better able to
withstand forces applied during surgery. This enables the creation of thinner guides than previously possible and facilitates a close, snap-like, fit to patient anatomy that cannot be
achieved in the traditional material.

GE Digital OPM for Power Generation Provides Modular, Interoperable
Performance Optimization Tools for a Changing Industry
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
10
Solution Description
GE Digital introduced its Operations Performance Management (OPM) solution for Power Generators. This robust three-module solution increases revenue and margins
by coupling Process Digital Twin technology based on first principles (physics-based modelling), AI, and advanced machine learning, with cutting-edge modelling and
analytics and edge control, enabling optimized power plant performance across a generation fleet.OPM improves the performance of plants, sites, and generation
portfolios by consolidating data into a coherent single source of truth available to users across the organization, from the plant to headquarters. It also ties in historical
context and economic impact with expanded operational capability to drive actionable insights and decision support. This information is used to monitor and diagnose
performance issues, identify areas of improvement, and predict capacity and its cost, to improve day ahead and intraday planning. The resulting guidance and executable
advice drive desired outcomes for improved efficiency, flexibility, capacity, and emissions.Due to renewables and a global focus on emissions reduction, thermal plants
cycle more often and are online less, shrinking the window of generating opportunity. These new operating modes mean that generators increasingly need tools that
enable flexible operations, leverage machine learning and AI technologies, support process automation, and support accurate, timely dispatch. With a connected UX from
plant to trading floor, traders, dispatch planners, and commercial teams can have accurate and timely information on plant-specific capabilities and costs, and as a result,
optimize their market offers and dispatch decisions to manage risk and uncertainty, while increasing margins and profit. With better monitoring, diagnostics and guidance,
generators can ensure performance is maintained to minimize costs and improve output. They can apply models and analytics at the plant and asset level to open operating
boundaries and optimize operations. They can bring individual plant capabilities to the forefront of the decision-makers – traders and dispatchers – in a way that presents
advice, rather than just data, in real time and contextualized for the role and decision that needs to be made.

GE Digital Visual Intelligence Platform Offers Best-in-Class Vegetation
Management and Asset Inspection
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
11
Solution Description
GE Digital introduced a purpose-built Visual Intelligence Platform for utilities. The SaaS solution is designed to ingest all forms of visual inspection data and executes
workflows and automated analysis which contextualizes data into Digital Twins of the network and environment. The Digital Twin generates business intelligence that
is consumable, shareable, and actionable to drive an expected 27% cost savings versus current practices. Global T&D utilities spend millions of dollars per year on
vegetation management and asset inspection programs to reduce outages, increase compliance, improve safety, and reduce the probably of catastrophic events such as
wildfires or major regional outages.Traditional approaches to Asset Inspection and Vegetation Management are slow and often based on Fixed Annual Cycles. Trees that
are too close to power lines are a significant hazard and a major cause of power failures during high winds and storms. In dry weather conditions, branches touching the
lines can catch fire, endangering human life, causing tremendous damage to the environment and existing infrastructures and putting utilities liability at risk. Visual
inspections generate large amounts of data which are often reviewed manually, which is labor and time expensive. Measuring electrical corridors, trees, incursions, and
clearances with LiDAR mounted on helicopters or similar is standard industry practice, but how do you turn this data into insights to improve reliability and safety with
less cost? New remote sensing technology, surveying methods, and AI-enabled data management solutions are available which offer utilities a clear upgrade path from
their legacy inspection and risk management programs. One European DSO wanted to reduce the cost of helicopter / on-land inspections while increasing precision and
frequency of inspections for overhead distribution lines. The Visual Intelligence solution automated the inspection process by generating a Network Digital Twin,
detecting vegetation encroachment risks and providing predictive pruning strategies and accurate asset defect detection.

dSPACE Introduces High-Fidelity Vehicle Dynamics Simulation on NVIDIA
DRIVE Sim
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
18
Solution Description
When it comes to autonomous vehicle simulation testing, every detail must be on point. With its high-fidelity automotive simulation model (ASM) on
NVIDIA DRIVE Sim, global automotive supplier dSPACE is helping developers keep virtual self-driving true to the real world. By combining the
modularity and openness of the DRIVE Sim simulation software platform with highly accurate vehicle models like dSPACE’s, every minor aspect of an AV
can be thoroughly recreated, tested and validated. The dSPACE ASM vehicle dynamics model makes it possible to simulate elements of the car —
suspension, tires, brakes — all the way to the full vehicle powertrain and its interaction with the electronic control units that power actions such as steering,
braking and acceleration. As the world continues to work from home, simulation has become an even more crucial tool in autonomous vehicle development.
However, to be effective, it must be able to translate to real-world driving. dSPACE’smodeling capabilities are key to understanding vehicle behavior in
diverse conditions, enabling the exhaustive and high-fidelity testing required for safe self-driving deployment.High-fidelity simulation is more than just a
realistic-looking car driving in a recreated traffic scenario. It means in any given situation, the simulated vehicle will behave just as a real vehicle driving in
the real world would. If an autonomous vehicle suddenly brakes on a wet road, there are a range of forces that affect how and where the vehicle stops. It could
slide further than intended or fishtail, depending on the weather and road conditions. These possibilities require the ability to simulate dynamics such as
friction and yaw, or the way the vehicle moves vertically.

NVIDIAAnnounces Cloud-AI Video-Streaming Platform to Better Connect
Millions Working and Studying Remotely
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
24
Solution Description
NVIDIA announced the NVIDIA Maxine platform, which provides developers with a cloud-based suite of GPU-accelerated AI video conferencing software to
enhance streaming video — the internet’s No. 1 source of traffic. NVIDIA Maxine is a cloud-native streaming video AI platform that makes it possible for service
providers to bring new AI-powered capabilities to the more than 30 million web meetings estimated to take place every day. Video conference service providers
running the platform on NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud can offer users new AI effects -- including gaze correction, super-resolution, noise cancellation, face relighting
and more. Because the data is processed in the cloud rather than on local devices, end users can enjoy the new features without any specialized hardware. The
NVIDIA Maxine platform dramatically reduces how much bandwidth is required for video calls. Instead of streaming the entire screen of pixels, the AI software
analyzes the key facial points of each person on a call and then intelligently re-animates the face in the video on the other side. This makes it possible to stream
video with far less data flowing back and forth across the internet.Using this new AI-based video compression technology running on NVIDIA GPUs, developers
can reduce video bandwidth consumption down to one-tenth of the requirements of the H.264 streaming video compression standard. This cuts costs for providers
and delivers a smoother video conferencing experience for end users, who can enjoy more AI-powered services while streaming less data on their computers,
tablets and phones. For example, face alignment enables faces to be automatically adjusted so that people appear to be facing each other during a call, while gaze
correction helps simulate eye contact, even if the camera isn’t aligned with the user’s screen. With video conferencing growing by 10x since the beginning of the
year, these features help people stay engaged in the conversation rather than looking at their camera.

ESI Group, a world player in Virtual Prototyping software and services for industries, was awarded the COVID-19 prize of the 2020 Simulation and Artificial Intelligence
Award by “L’UsineDigitale” for its project aiming to prevent office and plant contamination. The ceremony took place during the 15th annual TERATEC Forum that gathers
the best international experts in Simulation, HPC, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence; a flagship event that confirms the importance of these technologies for business
competitiveness. The world has been dealing with COVID-19 for several months now. While normalcy seems like a distant possibility, many people from various industries
must go back to work, for the economic health of our society. All companies have been mandated to take great precautions and follow all safety measures needed to control and
prevent the virus from spreading. ESI took initiative to validate the precautions using state-of-the-art computer modeling in order to contribute to the health of people at
work.ESI Group decided to study the circulation of the virus in the workplace and investigate different contamination scenarios. The goal: to rely on its historical background
in materials physics and the talent of its engineers to help preventing the risk of contamination in workplace whether offices or assembly lines. The spread of particles was
simulated, but also pockets of stagnant air were traced out, especially when modeling bigger and/or poorly ventilated spaces. Based on the cough of a person, neighbor or
entrant, the simulation considers the density of water vapor and the theoretical distribution of cough particles.
Three technologies were used:
• Computational Fluid Dynamics to simulate the behavior of flow and cough particles
• Virtual reality to visualize the scenario in 3D
• HPC to speed up simulation rendering times

Honeywell To Provide Pipistrel With Advanced Flight Control Technology
For Unmanned Cargo Aircraft
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
41
Pipistrel has selected Honeywell's Compact Fly-By-Wire system for the Nuuva V300 cargo unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), choosing a modern,
lightweight, highly capable system with a proven architecture ideally suited for their autonomous cargo UAV.Fly-by-wire computers act as the "brains"
of an aircraft's flight controls by operating them electronically and can be found inside nearly all large fixed-wing aircraft. The compact version from
Honeywell has features derived from decades of expertise in fly-by-wire systems for airliners, but it's much smaller — roughly the size of a paperback
book. This product is intended for smaller autonomous cargo and urban air mobility (UAM) vehicles and adds stability and performance by driving
flight controls electrically, without heavy hydraulics, control cables or push rods.Pipistrel'sNuuva V300 is a long-range, large-capacity, autonomous
UAV. It will take off and land vertically with battery power, meaning it does not require a runway, and has significantly lower operating costs than
helicopters. It can carry loads up to 300 kilograms (around 660 pounds) for more than 300 kilometers (around 186 miles), making it an ideal solution
for deliveries to areas traditionally accessible only by helicopter.Honeywell is a major player in the emerging UAM segment, offering a full line of
avionics, flight control, navigation, radar, communications, actuation, cooling, motors and turbo-electric propulsion systems — all tailored for piloted
vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) urban air mobility and unmanned cargo vehicles. Honeywell also offers aerospace integration and certification
expertise for enabling the commercialization of these vehicles.

Kongsberg Maritime is pleased to reveal that it has signed a contract with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai) to deliver a propulsion and
manoeuvring system for two 230m roll-on, roll-off passenger (RoPax) vessels for Finnlines. Currently under construction at Weihai and expected
to be delivered for deployment in the Baltic Sea by 2023, the ships will each have capacity for 1,212 passengers and are specified with a focus on
sustainable technologies and green operation.Worth in excess of EUR 12 million, the contract will see the system fitted to Finnlines’ flagship
Superstar RoPax vessels. The ships will be built to the highest Swedish/Finnish ice class (1A Super), with a twin shaft line propulsion system
powered by four main engines. Kongsberg Maritime have proposed a system whereby the ships will be able to run two efficiency/speed profiles:
16 knots with two engines running, or 19 knots with four engines running. This capability is enabled via an innovative two-speed gearbox solution,
delivering a propulsion efficiency increase of about 3% compared with a single-speed gearbox.Efficiency is further boosted through the use of
KONGSBERG’s Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPPs). With the propeller and rudder integrated into a single system, hydrodynamic performance
is optimised, thrust is increased and drag is reduced, with a consequent reduction in emissions. Combined with a ‘twisted’ rudder design that
further improves manoeuvrability, twin-screw vessels can be expected to achieve efficiencygains of up to 6%.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Honeywell Acquires Rocky Research, A Technology Leader In Power And Thermal Management Honeywell has acquired privately held Rocky Research, a Boulder City, Nevada-based technology leader specializing in thermal, energy and power management solutions. This acquisition expands Honeywell's existing, broad portfolio, which includes power generation systems, energy storage, and power and thermal management systems. It also combines Rocky Research's proven research and development capabilities with Honeywell's worldwide reach and engineering integration, test and production expertise. The acquisition of Rocky Research positions Honeywell with an advanced capability in the fast-growing power and thermal management market. The combined, differentiated capabilities of Rocky Research and Honeywell will help reduce the size, weight, power and cost of thermal and power management and hardware systems. Rocky Research will be integrated into Honeywell's Aerospace business. Executive Commentary "Rocky Research is an ideal addition to Honeywell's expanding product portfolio. Effective cooling systems optimized for size, weight and power are critical to meet the growing need for aircraft electrification, unmanned and autonomous aerial vehicles, and related systems," said President and chief executive officer of Honeywell Aerospace. "Rocky Research will augment Honeywell's existing technology capabilities in these areas." For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 1
  • 7. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Honeywell Acquires Ballard Unmanned Systems Honeywell has acquired assets from privately held Ballard Unmanned Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southborough, Mass.-based Ballard Power Systems Inc. Ballard Unmanned Systems designs and produces industry-leading, stored-hydrogen proton exchange membrane fuel cell systems that power unmanned aerial systems (UAS), particularly those used for energy inspection, cargo delivery, and other commercial and defense applications where demand for UAS services is growing. Honeywell is acquiring the key intellectual property, inventory and equipment of Ballard Unmanned Systems. Ballard's team of fuel-cell experts will also join Honeywell as part of the acquisition.Fuel cells function much like traditional batteries but with a key difference: They don't run out of power or need to be recharged. A fuel cell uses the chemical energy of hydrogen or another fuel to cleanly and efficiently produce electricity. Unmanned aerial systems powered by fuel cells can fly longer distances, are quiet and have zero greenhouse gas emissions.Ballard Unmanned Systems' fuel cell power systems can run up to three times longer than batteries and are five times more reliable than small engines. Furthermore, unlike traditional gas engines that have carbon emissions, they utilize hydrogen, a clean source of energy. Executive Commentary "Adding Ballard Unmanned Systems to the Honeywell family is another example of our commitment to invest in the growing UAS segment," said President and chief executive officer, Honeywell Aerospace. "We can now begin producing top-quality, scalable power systems for our UAS customers and eventually adapt these systems for other future aerospace, defense and adjacent segment applications." • 8. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable SimiGon:Interim Results For The Six Months Ended 30 June 2020 Financial Highlights • Revenues decreased by 50% to $1.35 million (H1 2019: $2.68 million) reflecting slower progress in delivering against project milestones due to COVID-19 restrictions and limitations on securing expected new business wins • Pipeline for H2 and beyond gives confidence in longer-term prospects • Consequential impact on gross margin of 49% (H1 2019: 66%) • Operating expenses decreased by 15% to $1.88 million (H1 2019: $2.20 million) • Operating loss of $1.22 million (H1 2019: $0.44 million) • Net loss increased by 193% to $1.27 million (H1 2019: $0.43 million) • Basic and diluted loss per share of $0.02 (H1 2019: loss per share $0.01) • Cash, cash equivalent, short term investment and deposits of $6.30 million as at 30 June 2020 (30 June 2019: $6.15 million) • Trade receivables decreased by 73% to $0.61 million (30 June 2019: $2.30 million) Executive Commentary SimiGon’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman commented: “SimiGon’s core business supporting military aircrew training through direct Government contract and subcontracts has been adversely affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19). Despite numerous contracts delays, we have continued to work through the challenges, making our programme deliveries and support while receiving a contract extension from the USAF for RPA training. The ongoing R&D efforts in XR and maintenance training are creating significant future growth potential. This has made SimiGon a more cohesive, focused and ready-made company for the challenges to come.We are continually reassessing our prospects given the dynamic environment and restrictions imposed across our international business but have concluded that performance for the financial year will be behind that of 2019. This is unfortunate but understandable in the circumstances, and given that existing long-term relationships have remained strong, our contracts remain in place if delayed, and, with a resilient financial position, we are confident in the longer term prospects for the business.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 3 Key Financial Highlights

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nib Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Airbiquity Launches OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator To Help Automakers Manage Connected Vehicle Software For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 4 Solution Description Airbiquity®, the global leader of connected vehicle services, launched its OTAmatic® Vehicle Configurator, a tool for defining and managing connected vehicle software. The OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator gives automakers insight into the exact hardware and software configurations within a vehicle, manage known combinations of electronic control units (ECUs) and software versions in vehicles, and meet emerging government compliance requirements for type certified vehicle systems. In recent years, the number of vehicle ECUs receiving software updates via over-the-air (OTA) technology has been steadily increasing, making it difficult for automakers to track and manage software configurations across their fleets. As these ECUs receive OTA software updates over time, different software permutations will appear in the field as not all vehicles will be updated at the same time. This results in a multitude of software combinations which need to be tracked and managed by the automaker for vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance. The OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator gives automakers the power to address these issues and better control the software configurations in their vehicles. The OTAmatic Vehicle Configurator: • Deploys software only in approved combinations. Minimizes unanticipated issues by ensuring software contained in tens to hundreds of independent ECUs in a vehicle are limited to prevalidated configurations tested and approved by automakers. Configuration candidates can automatically be created from factory feeds of newly manufactured vehicles or by importing Bill of Materials (BOMs) using a web-based tool, then provided to automakers for review and approval. Allows automakers to record the software (RXSWIN) associated with the type certification of a vehicle system and supports UNECE (WP.29) requirements for tracking software updates.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nib Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable SOLIDReporter for SOLIDWORKS – Time and Project Management Tool For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 5 Solution Description Logopress, a long-time SOLIDWORKS® software partner, announces the launch of a new add-in product called SOLIDReporter™ which has been developed for all SOLIDWORKS users. SOLIDReporter™ is an easy-to-use and affordable add-in designed to work seamlessly within SOLIDWORKS to automatically record, monitor and manage time, tasks and projects. SOLIDReporter will automatically record time spent working on parts, assemblies or drawings while automatically switching between projects based on criteria defined by the user. It also provides the flexibility of creating custom tasks to keep track of time spent while working outside of SOLIDWORKS, whether it is time spent in meetings, on breaks, in the shop, etc. SOLIDReporter helps the user and the manager to monitor their projects in real time. It also allows the user and the manager to generate analytical reports by project, task, or time period. SOLIDReporter is designed to be forgotten, without forgetting what was worked on in SOLIDWORKS. SOLIDReporter automatically stops allocating time to a project, based on a user defined period of inactivity in SOLIDWORKS. The user can also add notes such as reminders, ideas and questions to the currently active project in order to follow up on them later. In addition, a time budget can be set for each individual project. SOLIDReporter then monitors the amount of the budgeted time used providing alerts at project milestones.

This robust three-module solution increases revenue and margins by coupling Process Digital Twin technology based on first principles (physics-based modelling), AI, and advanced machine learning, with cutting-edge modelling and analytics and edge control, enabling optimized power plant performance across a generation fleet.OPM improves the performance of plants, sites, and generation portfolios by consolidating data into a coherent single source of truth available to users across the organization, from the plant to headquarters. It also ties in historical context and economic impact with expanded operational capability to drive actionable insights and decision support. This information is used to monitor and diagnose performance issues, identify areas of improvement, and predict capacity and its cost, to improve day ahead and intraday planning. The resulting guidance and executable advice drive desired outcomes for improved efficiency, flexibility, capacity, and emissions.Due to renewables and a global focus on emissions reduction, thermal plants cycle more often and are online less, shrinking the window of generating opportunity. These new operating modes mean that generators increasingly need tools that enable flexible operations, leverage machine learning and AI technologies, support process automation, and support accurate, timely dispatch. With a connected UX from plant to trading floor, traders, dispatch planners, and commercial teams can have accurate and timely information on plant-specific capabilities and costs, and as a result, optimize their market offers and dispatch decisions to manage risk and uncertainty, while increasing margins and profit. With better monitoring, diagnostics and guidance, generators can ensure performance is maintained to minimize costs and improve output. They can apply models and analytics at the plant and asset level to open operating boundaries and optimize operations. They can bring individual plant capabilities to the forefront of the decision-makers – traders and dispatchers – in a way that presents advice, rather than just data, in real time and contextualized for the role and decision that needs to be made.

The SaaS solution is designed to ingest all forms of visual inspection data and executes workflows and automated analysis which contextualizes data into Digital Twins of the network and environment. The Digital Twin generates business intelligence that is consumable, shareable, and actionable to drive an expected 27% cost savings versus current practices. Global T&D utilities spend millions of dollars per year on vegetation management and asset inspection programs to reduce outages, increase compliance, improve safety, and reduce the probably of catastrophic events such as wildfires or major regional outages.Traditional approaches to Asset Inspection and Vegetation Management are slow and often based on Fixed Annual Cycles. Trees that are too close to power lines are a significant hazard and a major cause of power failures during high winds and storms. In dry weather conditions, branches touching the lines can catch fire, endangering human life, causing tremendous damage to the environment and existing infrastructures and putting utilities liability at risk. Visual inspections generate large amounts of data which are often reviewed manually, which is labor and time expensive. Measuring electrical corridors, trees, incursions, and clearances with LiDAR mounted on helicopters or similar is standard industry practice, but how do you turn this data into insights to improve reliability and safety with less cost? New remote sensing technology, surveying methods, and AI-enabled data management solutions are available which offer utilities a clear upgrade path from their legacy inspection and risk management programs. One European DSO wanted to reduce the cost of helicopter / on-land inspections while increasing precision and frequency of inspections for overhead distribution lines. The Visual Intelligence solution automated the inspection process by generating a Network Digital Twin, detecting vegetation encroachment risks and providing predictive pruning strategies and accurate asset defect detection.

With its high-fidelity automotive simulation model (ASM) on NVIDIA DRIVE Sim, global automotive supplier dSPACE is helping developers keep virtual self-driving true to the real world. By combining the modularity and openness of the DRIVE Sim simulation software platform with highly accurate vehicle models like dSPACE’s, every minor aspect of an AV can be thoroughly recreated, tested and validated. The dSPACE ASM vehicle dynamics model makes it possible to simulate elements of the car — suspension, tires, brakes — all the way to the full vehicle powertrain and its interaction with the electronic control units that power actions such as steering, braking and acceleration. As the world continues to work from home, simulation has become an even more crucial tool in autonomous vehicle development. However, to be effective, it must be able to translate to real-world driving. dSPACE’smodeling capabilities are key to understanding vehicle behavior in diverse conditions, enabling the exhaustive and high-fidelity testing required for safe self-driving deployment.High-fidelity simulation is more than just a realistic-looking car driving in a recreated traffic scenario. It means in any given situation, the simulated vehicle will behave just as a real vehicle driving in the real world would. If an autonomous vehicle suddenly brakes on a wet road, there are a range of forces that affect how and where the vehicle stops. It could slide further than intended or fishtail, depending on the weather and road conditions. These possibilities require the ability to simulate dynamics such as friction and yaw, or the way the vehicle moves vertically.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nib Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable NVIDIAAnnounces Cloud-AI Video-Streaming Platform to Better Connect Millions Working and Studying Remotely For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 24 Solution Description NVIDIA announced the NVIDIA Maxine platform, which provides developers with a cloud-based suite of GPU-accelerated AI video conferencing software to enhance streaming video — the internet’s No. 1 source of traffic. NVIDIA Maxine is a cloud-native streaming video AI platform that makes it possible for service providers to bring new AI-powered capabilities to the more than 30 million web meetings estimated to take place every day. Video conference service providers running the platform on NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud can offer users new AI effects -- including gaze correction, super-resolution, noise cancellation, face relighting and more. Because the data is processed in the cloud rather than on local devices, end users can enjoy the new features without any specialized hardware. The NVIDIA Maxine platform dramatically reduces how much bandwidth is required for video calls. Instead of streaming the entire screen of pixels, the AI software analyzes the key facial points of each person on a call and then intelligently re-animates the face in the video on the other side. This makes it possible to stream video with far less data flowing back and forth across the internet.Using this new AI-based video compression technology running on NVIDIA GPUs, developers can reduce video bandwidth consumption down to one-tenth of the requirements of the H.264 streaming video compression standard. This cuts costs for providers and delivers a smoother video conferencing experience for end users, who can enjoy more AI-powered services while streaming less data on their computers, tablets and phones. For example, face alignment enables faces to be automatically adjusted so that people appear to be facing each other during a call, while gaze correction helps simulate eye contact, even if the camera isn’t aligned with the user’s screen.
