Hi there,
This is Sean Wallbridge coming to you from sunny Victoria, BC. I'm a proud father, drummer first, nerd second and I'm keen to learn and share what I've learned to whomever can stand the sound of my voice.
I delivered this presentation in a 5 minute format at a local Non-Profit "Tool Tips" event the other day and it seemed well received. So I'm going to try and stick to that under 5 minute approach here as well.
Teams device store
This feature enables exploring certified Teams devices and direct procurement through Teams admin center, where admins can discover, purchase, and leverage on seamless provisioning of these devices.
For the Teams devices purchased through this store, you can leverage seamless remote provisioning, that will associate those devices with your tenant automatically, within the Teams Admin Center.
Soft focus and adjust brightness
New filters for Teams meeting video feeds.
User requests for apps in Teams store
Users can browse and find apps in the Teams Store that are blocked within the tenant and request them from the admins. Admins can then see the request on the Manage apps page in the ‘Request by users’ column and manage them on the app details page.
DocuSign requests
DocuSign users will now be able to create a request within a Chat or a Channel using the compose extension. An adaptive card will display the request details once the request has been created and will be updated with the progress of the request at it is signed by the recipients.
This new feature will allow users to create sites, files, and lists from within the SharePoint app bar. Users will be able to select the Create command (the plus sign) on the app bar and then select an option from SharePoint sites, Microsoft Lists, or Office files (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote).
Note: The new create command cannot be disabled or customized.
New "Unscheduled" tab within the events pane to the right of the Calendar view. The items with missing start and/or end dates and those with start date later than the end date would appear on this pane.
DLP connector action control enables admins to easily allow/block specific connector actions for each connector. For example, you could block the Delete row (V2) action for the SQL Server connector.
DLP for custom connectors enables admins to apply well known DLP constructs – like connector classification (business, non-business, blocked) – to a newer breed of connectors named custom connectors.
Service health dashboard
When there is a broadly impacting issue that affects multiple services across the M365 services, Microsoft will create a single incident that will properly reflect the overall status of the different services if affects. In the message details of this incident, we will call out specific services impacted. With this change we will also be giving a refreshed user experience to the service health dashboard.
In the service health dashboard, you will see the following changes.
All active issues will now appear in the top table on the page.
The services status will correctly reflect if any issue is affecting it.
MS Graph connector for Azure DevOps
Microsoft Graph connectors enable your organization to index third-party content in Microsoft Search. With the Microsoft Graph connector for Azure DevOps, you would be able to index and search for work items like bugs, tasks, user stories, features and epics from any of Microsoft Search endpoints like Bing, SharePoint, Office.com etc.
Microsoft Purview
Microsoft 365 compliance solutions will be consolidated under the Microsoft Purview brand name. This change will bring together Microsoft 365 compliance solutions and Azure Purview into a single portfolio and will align the naming of various solutions for consistency with other offerings.
