In accordance with the Treaty of Amsterdam, the goal of this project is to create an European area for
lifelong learning among adults, which will facilitate the development and strengthening of the
European citizenship values such as gender equality, tolerance, anti-discrimination, stereotypes and
prejudices, respect for diversity.

The partnership’s objectives are:
to facilitate the development of innovative practices in adult education
to share experiences and good practices regarding the
implementation of the gender equality in adult
education
to develop the professional competencies for the staff
involved in adult education
to promote the concept of lifelong learning through
adult involvement in various learning activities
to consolidate the role of lifelong learning in
developing European citizenship based on
understanding, respect, tolerance, lack of prejudice
and stereotypes, as well as equality between men and
women
to improve the linguistic competencies (in English) for learners and staff
These objectives will be achieved through the following activities:
6 meetings of project
gender equality activities (workshops, debates,
symposia, seminars, exhibitions)
making the research "Women and Men-
realities of European present"
workshops "Women inspiring Europe" and "we
are equal!"
dissemination and exploitation activities
(project website’s, making posters and leaflets, articles
and newsletters , exhibitions, panel presentation)
monitoring and evaluation activities.
The final product of the partnership is the brochure "We are equal! Best Practice Guide
on Gender Equality”.
Between 15th
to 19th
November 2012, 20 members of the Grundtvig team Learning Partnership
"Everybody can do it" (ECDI) participated in the first meeting organized by the coordinating
institution IES project Jacaranda in Brenes, Seville (Spain). The project’s agenda included the
following activities:
"Let’s know each other " (presenting partners: country, city, institution);
establishment plan for the first year of project activities;
renegotiation of responsibilities. For example, Spain will make the project’s website,
Estonia will propose a project’s logo, Romania will make the survey "Women and Men -
realities of the European present " to be applied in order to identify stereotypes and
prejudices about gender equality in each partner country. The questionnaire is divided into

three main sections: economic life, family life, public life and participation in decision-
making;
setting data for the following project meeting in Turkey and Romania;
discussions on the project’s site structure and means of communication (email, Drop box,
Skype, Google Docs, wikis etc.) activities for the period November 2012-April 2013, the
questionnaire used to assess project meetings, ways of disseminating the project in the
enlarged educational community, the learner’s profile in partner countries etc.
meeting with the mayor of the town of Brenes (Sevilla) where it is the coordinating
institution Jacaranda IES;
presentation of NGO "Women's Association" of Seville;
social activities and intercultural relations;
Cultural activities: Carmona town visiting and sightseeing in Seville and Torre del Oro and
Naval Museum, Royal Alcázar Palace (the oldest royal palace in Europe still in use, located
on the UNESCO World Heritage list), Santa Cruz Quarter - a former ghetto XV century for
the Spanish Jews, Cathedral (here is the tomb of Christopher Columbus) and the Giralda,
corridors and bull fighting museum, Maria Luisa Park and Plaza of Spain.
For the first year of the project, the following activities were proposed: organization of three project
meetings (Spain, Turkey, Romania), a website and logo design, development, implementation and
analysis of results of the questionnaire "Women and Men-realities of European present
"development of a research on gender equality in each country, the symposium" Women who
inspire Europe”, the workshop" We are equal ", dissemination and evaluation.

The partnership favors cultural openness of the participants by making them acquainted with the
culture and civilization of partner countries and creating opportunities for the development of
intercultural communication. We hope that this new Grundtvig project will be an incentive for
everyone to address new ways of helping adults to develop their skills and to consolidate various
values of European citizenship.
