than we are used to here. Even compatriots from a
different region or social class often behave differently
than we do. In an open society, everyone is more often in
contact with such dissenters than they used to be. For
those others, we are the dissenters. What separates us

often unconscious values that make us "normal" find
what others find bad, and dirty what is clean for others.
