3. Importance Of Recruitment
For Mcdonald’s People are its most important Asset.
Mcdonald’s strives to attract and hire the best people so
that they can give maximum satisfaction to their
Customers.
Mcdonald’s always strive to minimize the employee
turnover rate because the recruitment and training staff
is very expensive process.
4. Recruiting Suitable Applicants
Each individual resturant is responsible for filling hourly
paid positions.
Positions are generally advertised in the resturant.
60% of the resturant staff are aged 20 or under it and fresh
employee.
At initial level they take behavioural tests from applicants
by giving them actual event situations.
Their Future Managers came from two main sources.
(65% Existing hourly paid Employes and 35%
predominately graduates).
They take “Psychomatric test” - If cleared – “1st stage
interview” - If cleared - “2 days On job experience” – If
cleared- “Final interview”.
5. Appointing The Suitable Candidate
After the final interview, the new employees invited
at the welcome meeting which gives the overview of
the company, including:

Food, hygiene & safety training
Policies and procedures
Administration
Benefits
Training & development
The company operates a 3 week probitionary period
to either retain or their employment termination.
6. Training at Mcdonald’s Resturant
Mcdonald’s success is built on the highest standards
of quality, service & cleanliness delivered to
customers.
They promotes their first job employe to senior
positions through merit based promotions.
Crew trainers trained the staff by giving them
operation skills that is necessary for running 11
workstations in the resturant.
Majority of the trainings are floor based “On the Job”
They also provide class room based training
sessions for quality assurance to their employees.
7. Management Development
They hire new recruits from trainee manager to resturant
manager.
Mcdonald’s aimed at persons 21 or above, either graduate
or the individuals having previous management experience.
The management development training divided into 4 key
programmes:
• Shift management
• System management
• Resturant Leadership
• Buisness leadership
They also sent their employees to regional office for their
training and development and to learn new skills.

They belief that their employees are their

positions through Merit based promotions
