1. Guest Author Guidelines
We all know how much work and research goes into a well-written article, however unclear
guidelines and expectations can burden your research and unnecessarily lengthen the writing time.
So that we can collaborate with our guest authors as smoothly as possible, we would encourage all
guest authors to take note of the following points:
Make sure that the article contains useful and fresh content for the reader. Try to include a
teaser introduction to the article which will catch our readers´ attention.
Within this teaser, try to include one or two sentences about yourself, including any
specific experience that you have about the topic on which you are writing.
The article should be between 400-600 words long. If your article is longer than this then
we would need to adapt it to fit our requirements.
The article should be clear and well-written, avoiding grammatical and spelling mistakes
If you refer to certain data, studies or other such specific information, then please include
a link to the source. Further information on a topic is always welcomed and appreciated
by our readers!
The article should appear in its original format and should not have been published
anywhere else before.
You may include two or three relevant links within your article. However, please ensure
that the text of the article is not too commercial. We like to receive interesting and unique
content.
We welcome any relevant pictures or videos to be included within the article (please send
us one or two good quality pictures, if the photos are not yours please include the image
credit and make sure you are allowed to use them).
Please make sure that your article has been written in British English.
We reserve the right to edit any article we receive so that it fits with our quality standards
as outlined in these guidelines.
We promise to review every guest article pitch that we receive, and to reply within one working
week. We look forward to working with you!
Best,
Hungryhouse editorial team
