Mood board explained copy
1.
2. •
Sherlock- Several
shots from the
show such as the
Shot of John at
the cemetery and
the shot of
sherlock on to of
Barts have
influenced my film,
as i am planning
to use two shots
not unlike them in
my short film.
3. I’m a big fan of Baz
Lurhmanns films and
have taken inspiration
from his latest film,
The Great Gatsby. I
will try to create a
‘party’ scene in my
film, not unlike the
scenes from the film
taking place at a party,
using bright colours
lights and sound. (post
modermism)
4. •
A good Example of post modernism here showing
‘Bart Simpson’ recreating the Nirvana album cover.
Post Modernism is
another aspect i’d
like to use in my film,
a great example of
Post modernism is
‘The Simpsons’. I will
take inspiration from
films such as The
Great Gatsby and TV
shows such as
Sherlock and try to
make scenes look
like theirs and place
them in my film.
5. I want my costume to be very modern.
Currently ‘Band shirts’ and t-shirts
showing their favourite TV shows or
quotes they love are popular. I want to
use these as they show a background to
the character, and show how
comfortable teenagers are with their
likes and dislikes, compared to when
the mother and father were the age of
the teenages. I want the parents to be
wearing clothes that make them look
uncomfortable, for example work
clothes, almost uniform.
6. BLUE
•
The Background of my mood board is blue,
which is also relevant to the film. I want the
colour to be apparent throughout my film
(using chroma key in the black and white
scenes). The colour blue and pink are
apparent throughout the film Happy Go
Lucky. And Red is very strong throughout the
Baz Lurhmann film ‘Moulin Rouge’ (The
colour is even in the title). Ive Decided to use
blue as i feel it connotes hope and happiness,
a key emotion to my film.
