As founder and CEO of iPoint Capital Partners, Hilt Tatum steers the firm's alternative investment, venture capital, and private equity sectors. He also serves on the executive committee and board of directors in more than six portfolio companies and has founded over 20 companies with 3000 employees. Besides working, Hilt Tatum is passionate about charity and is an ardent philanthropist. One of the programs he founded is Project Joy Panama. A nonprofit, Project Joy was established more than a decade ago with the primary mission of assisting low-income members of the community and those with limited education opportunities. The organization builds classes and provides food, scholarships, clothes, classroom supplies, and mentorship to promote educational development and foster a better lifestyle for the community. The organization endeavors to pursue long-term support for the children, seeking to see them through higher education, launch careers, and uplift their families. The organization also creates awareness about the communities in the Central American country and their plight as they are rarely focused on or engaged in the international forums. Alongside volunteers and donations, the Christmas charity drive is one of the major annual fundraising avenues for Project Joy. The attendees, mostly the children and their families, receive gift items for the holiday season including play kits, a community dinner, and takeaway supplies for everyone.
