A former director of projects for Proyecto Salud y Vida in South America,
Patricia Lynn Hough now serves as the staff supervisor for St. Francis
Animal Rescue of Venice, Florida. Recently, Patricia Lynn Hough
supported the building and equipping of medical clinics through the Hope
for Haiti Foundation.
Since 1999, the Hope for Haiti Foundation has provided financial support
and volunteer services to the people of Haiti. The organization aims to
empower Haitians in order to change their nation from the inside out. As
part of that mission, Hope for Haiti focuses particularly on education.
The Hope for Haiti Foundation believes that educating the youth of Haiti
will allow them to secure a better future and transform their nation. The
foundation runs its own model school in the country as an example, but
also seeks to educate teachers, who often have no more education than
a sixth grader. By providing curriculum training and teaching educational
methods, Hope for Haiti benefits teachers in over 40 schools.
