More Color options than ever before! 70% increase in finish options! But it is not like we went crazy and we are going to offer you every piece in every color. We didn’t think you would want Isabella in Tangerine, so we haven’t offered the choice. We have created more options where we felt it made sense. Each collection will have a color palette (which we will come back to later on in this presentation). These are your ONLY options for each particular collection. Unfortunately, calling and requesting something else or writing a request on an order will not change that.

Young America is the safest furniture you can buy for a child. Our cribs are, of course, 100% compliant with all CPSC regulations and ASTM voluntary standards. But beyond that, our cribs meet a higher standard of safety. Our cribs meet our own stringent measures reaching beyond industry standards. That ensures that every Young America crib is the absolute safest it can be.
Children typically spend about 85% of their time indoors, where the air may be two to five times more polluted than the outdoor air. As a result, they face short and long term health risks from the indoor air pollution caused by chemicals released from the everyday products in our homes, including other furnishings, electronics, appliances, and cleaners. To ensure the safest environments for our children, all Young America cribs have been GREENGAURD certified. Products which receive the GREENGAURD Children and Schools™ certified mark have been independently tested and meet the most rigorous chemical emissions standards in the world.

*eventually all Young America product will be GREENGUARD certified, but for now, until we tell you otherwise, it’s just the cribs

GREENGUARD puts air quality to the test! Products with the GREENGUARD certification mark help manufacturers, retailers and consumers identify products that meet established indoor air quality standards backed by the most rigorous THIRD PARTY certification program in the industry. GREENGUARD is a non for profit organization.
GREENGUARD certified products undergo rigorous testing for more than 10,000 volatile organic compounds including formaldehyde and phthalates.
More than 200,000 products by over 225 manufacturer’s are represented under GREENGUARD certification and can be found at www.greenguard.org (you’ll notice the lack of other kid’s furniture manufactures).
Our furniture has always exhibited signs of quality like dovetailing, and dust panels in between drawers, but we have stepped it up with improvements such as screwed on and finished back panels, a Young America name plate and a Made in the USA name plate. We are also moving to a 5 year manufacturer’s warrantee, which of course will only cover manufacturer's defects.

Your store may have the following on the floor to reference:
The Rolling YA YA, which highlights on one side all the finishes. On the other side it has up close examples of effects like light antiquing and “striping.”
The Quality and Safety banner, which gives you one place to point out a lot of important features and benefits.
Remember, your regular wood samples are ONLY an indication of finish, not distressing or anything else!
The Isabella COLORS finishes have a slight stripping effect around drawers and on the floral decoration (hence the white lines around these paint blobs), and white hardware, this is not optional
Up close picture of stripping effect, only the Isabella collection has this option

Isabella setting from our showroom in High point
The black finish for Ma Marie no longer is two-tone. There is no more whatsoever for cherry for Ma Marie.
We tried Basecamp in other finishes, it didn’t look good, so it is the only group with one finish.
The collection formerly known as Starlight now falls under 2nd nature, and there is an espresso finish added
2nd nature setting from our showroom in Highpoint, how good does that look!?!
Same finishes as before
Same rustic cherry as before, but now also a rustic espresso finish
Basecamp and Harbortown setting at our showroom in High Point
The collection formerly known as Madison now falls under Caroline
Same 2 finishes as always
Picture of a Hampton Pointe nursery
Same 20 finishes as before. Only option for sand thru edges on the white finish (D2).
Take notice of how the other painted finishes here end in a _1, we are going to talk about it later in this presentation, but that _1 means something, it means that there is “no effect” on these finishes. In other words, they are painted and that’s it. No sand thru or distressing, etc. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL.
Formerly known as 4 Seasons.
OMG! This collection now has 22 finishes! Original four finishes no sand thru, color choices will have sand thru
Again, take notice of how the painted finishes here end in a _2, we are going to talk about this more later in this presentation, but that _2 means something, it means that there is Sand thru on these finishes. In other words, they are painted and then the edges are slightly sanded for a bit of an antiqued effect. THIS IN NOT OPTIONAL.
It may be helpful to see the HOW TO ORDER handout
This is a lot like you were used to. Collection # first. Item # however is now in the center and finish on the end.
Watch the finish, always double check for accuracy.
How to place a YOUNG AMERICA COLLECTION order
All collection furniture is identified by a 3-part code:
XXX – XX – XX
——— - ———— - ——
collection # item # finish #
For example, let’s say you want a Single Dresser (item)
from the Isabella collection in the Sea Grass, Lightly
Antiqued with Striping finish. Here is what your order
would look like—
Isabella - 326
Single Dresser - 0001
Sea Grass, Light Antiqued with Striping - V8
So you’d order a 326-0001-V8.
Remember the only options available are given to you in your catalogue and pricelist. You cannot adjust the numbers to get something different.
Harbortown, for example has two finishes -37 rustic cherry and -17 Rustic Espresso. That is it. You don’t need to memorize any of this (but you can if you want to). But you will notice consistencies when working with the line. Anytime the first space in finish spot is a -3_, for instance, you will be looking at rustic cherry. Anytime that first space is a -1_, you’ll be looking at espresso. Anytime the second spot is filled by a -_7, that product is heavily antiqued and so on.
Some items in our line are more generic. The are not necessarily collection specific, they work in a variety of places. Examples would be a trundle unit, a changing station or a desk chair. We had a choice of skuing the same thing over and over again OR giving these items a different coding system. These items transcend a collection boundary, so they will not longer have collection code. They will be known as Mix and Match items and they will have “group codes.”
You’ll find these pieces in the front of your price list in their own sections and you will find them again within each individual collection where they are appropriate.
How to place a YOUNG AMERICA MIX & MATCH order
All Mix & Match furniture is identified by a 3-part code:
XXX – XXXX – XX
——— - ———— - ——
collection # Item # finish #
For example, let’s say you want a Crib (item) from the
Built To Grow group in the Sky Blue, Sand Thru finish.
Here is what your order would look like—
Built To Grow - BTG
Crib - 2000
Sky Blue, Sand Thru - N2
So you’d order a BTG-2000-N2.
This example order contains both collection based and mix and match based items.
Expect many orders looking like this.
The first crib to go down the line for in our Robbinsville factory. It is signed by all employees!
5 BTG convertible cribs and 3 stationary cribs (no drop side cribs, can’t be the leader in safety with moving parts)
ALL CRIBS APPROVED FOR CANADA!!!
Plays nicely with Harbortown, Basecamp and GenAmerica. It might be a good idea to try to commit these crib codes to memory, as it will make it easier for us to refer to them.
This crib comes in all finishes! Plays nicely with all collections.
This crib only plays nicely with Myhaven, despite that fact, we decided to give this item a BTG a group code.
This crib plays nicely with Caroline, Isabella and Ma Marie. Although you cannot see them in this picture, (but you will see later on in this presentation) this crib does have openings on the solid headboard for bumper pad ties. We have lowered them, compared to the previous model as much as we could. Safety first!
This crib plays nicely with All Seasons, 2nd Nature and Hampton Pointe
This crib plays nicely with GenAmerica, 4 Seasons and Hampton Pointe
This crib plays nicely with Caroline, Isabella and Ma Marie
This crib plays nicely with GenAmerica, 4 Seasons, 2nd Nature, Hampton Pointe
The BTG cribs have new mattress support made out of wood. This is very sturdy. Also, the #3230 toddler/daybed conversion kit is no longer needed in order to create a little daybed, the footboard can be removed. Holes will be exposed but it is still safe. However, it is still optional if the customer wants to have the little guardrail, or avoid having holes exposed. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS NEW #3230 IS NOT THE SAME AS THE YOUNG AMERICA 1.0 #230 TODDLER/DAYBED CONVERSION KIT- WELL, IT LOOKS THE SAME, BUT THE DRILLED HOLES, ETC. ARE DIFFERENT. IF SOMEONE WANTS A TODDLER DAYBED CONVERSION KIT FOR A YOUNG AMERICA 1.0 CRIB, YOU CAN SEE IF WE STILL HAVE STOCK OF THE OLD #230, BUT THAT’S IT.
The same will be the case for stationary cribs, the side can be removed for a little day bed. A guard rail can also be bought for the same concept but with the stationary crib.
Now just 2 mattress heights, research shows that is all that is necessary.
It is much easier to assemble the crib with this new mattress support system, which has 30% less hardware than the previous models. Takes one person about 15 minutes. to put together.
Remember, once a crib is converted to a 4/6 double bed, you have the option of doing any of our under bed storage options- either a storage/trundle unit or a captain’s storage unit (in which case you would not need side rails). However, there are two exceptions to this fact, the BTG 2600 and the BTG 2800, the bun type style of the feet on the footboard of these cribs will not allow for under bed storage once converted. However, don’t forget about low profile footboards…
Don’t forget you have the option a low profile footboard for all 3/3 twin and 4/6 double beds and BTG CRIBS. For beds, this brings down the price. This is a separate sku. If ordering for a bed, you need to break the bed down into components and then switch the footboard out for this one. You can still do any of our under bed storage options when using this low profile footboard.
Mix and Match BNK-7410-XX full over full bunk bed
Mix and Match bunk bed BNK-7320-XX
Mix and Match BNK-7300-XX bunk bed
The TFK-0570-XX, can be used with any 3/3 bunk (except bunk 7300- (the feminine looking bunk bed) to create twin over full bunk. A SLR 0468 would need to be ordered as well for the bottom bunk.
Loft bunk beds are available in twin over twin and full over full. They come with all the regular bunk bed components and also the LSK 0888 loft support kit, which is why they actually cost more than a regular bunk. However, it is nice to have the option of creating a regular bunk later on. The 890-0860-37 is shown above. Note this SKU, because this is a collection specific item, it starts with 890. We did not think this bunk bed would necessarily look good in out other collections, so we did not make it a mix and match item.
These beds are created from using a headboard, footboard, rails and slat roll from a bunk bed. They look just like a regular bed from a collection. The headboard and footboards on these half bunks will be a bit shorter than on a regular bed. You still have the option to use under bed storage. You could also create a bunk bed down the road by ordering a second bed, then putting the footboards on the top and the headboards on the bottom and then ordering in the correct ladder. So NOW you can work your way up to a bunk bed OR work down from a bunk bed to 2 beds.
3 generic (mix and match) daybed options
Generic (mix and match) units will come in all finishes. You can do a console in the middle, a desk, a twin bed or a double bed (depending on the hutch ordered).
Not all of these chairs are available in every collection, see your price list and catalogue
