Transparency has become even more important in the past year as we begin the health care reform discussion. There is not a signature event in Nashville to bring quality, marketing, transparency, and technology together. The Naked Hospital event will take the user experience from high level strategy through national and state legislative issues through practical hands on tools to walk away with. The event will focus on how and why health systems and hospitals should focus on quality reporting as well as financial reporting. At the end of the day, all of this puts additional strains on the information systems and resources deployed by most health systems and hospitals. How will they cope? What is the next step?

Obamacare, Trump Care or no care? The debate about who pays to keep America healthy rages on with no end in sight. It might even become a huge talking point in the next presidential election, as some are pushing for Medicare-for-all coverage. Confused? I know I am. Here is the first of a series of summaries about US health care.

Our biggest problem in healthcare is efficiency (quality of care per dollar spent) and Obamacare doesn't solve it. Our spending is off the charts by any measure (growth over time, % of GDP, per capita) Consumerism as a force of change in Healthcare is just getting started, but there are many barriers in place that serve to protect existing stakeholders in the industry. Knocking down these barriers to competition is what the GOP should be focusing on, but it's not. "Repeal and replace" seems to be a slogan, not a plan. Do Republican lawmakers have the will to make changes that might upset entrenched players?

We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising. This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.

The information may not be completely false, but the information could be exaggerated, embellished, or simply not based on research. However, the information could be very accurate. 1. Select an article about a specific nutrition recommendation or a specific nutrition supplement from a Health and Fitness magazine or website. Most Health and Fitness magazines and websites now hire a Nutrition and/or Fitness professional to write their nutrition related articles. Thus, instead of an article, you can choose information from a retail website, an online advertisement, or information listed on a supplement container. Please note: supplements that are very new (so new that research has not yet been conducted) would not be a good choice for this assignment. Also, do not select Creatine, as its proposed benefits are well documented. 2. Research the same nutrition recommendation or supplement using sources such as published research, scientific journals, textbooks, or reliable websites (commonly ending with .edu, .gov, or .org). Assignment 1 Public Administration – The Good, the Bad, the Ugly hhhhhhh Modern Public Administration Prof. hhhhh Date: hhhhh The White House Issue: Health reforms The Health Care Reforms are the best obsession for the United States, Majorly most of the American citizens who were responsible for originating the improvement found it helpful. Back in the year 2011, a countrywide crackdown was conducted as a way to oppose the frauds that were becoming a health concern, and the federal administration recovered almost $ 4.1 billion. The Health Care Improvement for capturing the healthcare frauds and scams allowed President Obama’s policy to enhance on strict penalties like compensation and fines. By providing the United States citizens with Patient Protection as well as, ACA (Affordable Care Act) was the ultimate presidential success for President Barack Obama (.whitehouse., 2014). The public policy As most of the leaders decided to adopt a firm stand with the many important issues within the American State, the essential point was the definition of the improvement of the Health Care in the United States by President Barack Obama and when discussing the fitness and care reform a lot of issues are put on focus. The public policies are categorized into four groups which are the regulatory policy, the distributive policy, the redistributive policy and lastly the constituent policy. Every issue in the White House is organized it the way it is related to any of the four types of public systems (NCBI, 2016). The financial regime faces most of the significant issues, and many may need to be in a position to determine the problems which are related to funding system because some of these issues affect some of the American citizens. Distributive policy as mentioned above, it is a policy that focuses on supporting the selected issues; the strategy that is behind the distributive health care is the local understanding and having a flexible organizational design. The idea of distribution is quite broad as it classifies distributive policy action towards including all the public processes that are responsible for developing as well as providing equitable access to the resources. In regards to the health issues, this may have financial aid for assisting the excluded to have access to the healthcare. Also, across funding aid to assist in the inside operations of the health institutions such as the combination of threats which enhances the inclusion of reasonably inadequate health services. Also, the appointment systems facilitate the secondary concern for the needy to access health services (Mackintosh, 2013). It also reduces the shifts regarding the fitness care regime in processes that will be able to satisfy and offer the proper access to those who are deprived by supporting the distributive promises that the government has made and having full access to healthcare services. In this kind of shift, the significant disadvantage is ...

Final Project The major written assignment, a Health Policy Analysis, is due in Week Six. Completion of this paper will involve research utilizing selected websites and the Ashford Online Library. You are employed as an analyst in a state governor’s office and have been asked to write a 15 to 20 page health policy analysis. Your analysis will include the following; 1. Problem Statement: A one to three sentence question in which you succinctly identify a health-related problem. Do not include any recommendations in your problem statement, but rather phrase your problem statement so that it lends itself to an analysis that considers several options. 2. Background: Explain why the problem has been selected for analysis. Provide statistics and background data to document the scope and nature of the problem. 3. Landscape Identification: Identify the key stakeholders and the factors that must be considered e.g. political, social, economic, practical, and legal factors when analyzing the problem. For each factor, your analysis should discuss relevant views of the identified stakeholders. You may organize this section by stakeholder or by factor. Some stakeholders may not have relevant views for all of the factors, but each stakeholder must be addressed as often as necessary to convey their policy position. The tone of the landscape section should be neutral and objective. 4. Alternatives Section: Provide three to five options to consider. This section is not just a statement of choices, but an analysis of each alternative by stating the positive/negative and pro/con aspects of pursuing each option. Analyze all your options equally, and avoid providing more detail for the option you plan to recommend. This section should be completely objective. In completing your alternatives section, you may wish to utilize any of the following criteria in your analysis: cost, cost-benefit, political feasibility, legality, administrative ease, fairness, timeliness, targeted impact. Identify and evaluate the impacts of these processes e.g. persons served, lives saved, hospital days avoided, people screened. 5. Side-by-side Tables of the Alternatives: Create descriptive or analytic tables of your alternatives in which you summarize key information. A descriptive table would provide a description of each option but not provide any analysis. An analytic table would assess the option based on the criteria chosen. Make sure to clearly label your tables. 6. Recommendations: Select one of your alternatives, and clearly differentiate it as the best option, making sure to provide a detailed explanation as to why it is preferred over the other options. Weigh the data/evidence and analyze it in terms of technical feasibility, political feasibility, or economic and financial viability. In addition, also identify what, if any, actions may be taken to mitigate or overcome the negative aspects of your selected recommendation. (You presented these in your Alternatives Secti ...

DEVELOPMENT OF AN ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN (Part 2) 2 The Case for Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) (Part 2) NURS-6050N-23: Policy & Advocacy for Pop Health Introduction The present US health care policies and regulations established by the various government agencies, insurance companies and other healthcare organizations pose certain challenges to us as nurses and of course the patients who are generally the ones caught in the middle of cost and payment constraints and access to applicable quality care. According to the 2005 data from the United States Census Bureau about 50 million Americans are uninsured while at the same time the cost of health care is still rising. With the continued rising costs of care, degenerating and lack of access to comprehensive care, and poor-quality services, there is an urgent need to improve our health care performances in the United States. (Carey, 2006). As such, changes are required in government, health care organizations and insurance policies that tackles most of the health-related issues. (Kendig, 2006). This project focuses on the development of an advocacy campaign with a view towards addressing how current laws or regulations may affect how to proceed in advocating for a proposed policy and how to influence legislators and other policymakers to enact a policy. The project also examined possible barriers to the legislative steps that could impede a proposed policy from being enforced as designed. (WaldenU, 2017). The existing laws and regulations that are used can address the situation and contribute to changing the chronic illnesses that plague the world but using these strategies by themselves will not be suffice for addressing the problems associated with Non-Communicable Diseases across the world. This is because many countries have weak health care systems, even those that are considered “First” world countries such as America. The existing laws and regulations are encapsulated in global legal doctrines as well as national doctrines to provide budgeting for healthcare prevention but this often is negatively impacted by under-budgeting that occurs, poor demand forecasting, and poor distribution of services to those most in need. (Cherry, & Trotter Betts, 2005). Governments across the world are implementing fiscal policies that are predicated upon raising taxes, utilization of subsidiary statutory instruments such as regulations that establish standards that must be met toward cigarettes, alcohol, and other major contributors to NCDs, and the improvement of access to NCD treatments. Government agencies also play a role in monitoring and enforcing regulations that are established to address this global healthcare problem. Other measures that are taken by governments are predicated upon the allocation of resources to train healthcare providers, developing policies that ensure the retention of healthcare providers, establi.

Overview - Health Care Issues Health Care Issues Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection, 2015 In recent years, the availability and affordability of health insurance in the United States has become the subject of much debate. The United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights lists medical care among the basic human rights to which all people are entitled. In 2011, however, about 17 percent of Americans had no health insurance at all. For many people who are insured, the cost of coverage is a financial hardship. This situation has led some people to call for the government to provide health insurance for all citizens. Others, however, are skeptical of government’s ability to efficiently manage health insurance and oppose any plans that involve government. The issue is made more urgent by rapidly rising health care costs that threaten to overwhelm the country’s current system of health insurance, and the national economy in general. Health care reform has become one of the most important issues in contemporary American politics. The Basics of Health Care In most developed countries, health care systems involve government control or sponsorship. For instance, in Great Britain, Scandinavia, and the countries of the former Soviet Union, the government controls almost all aspects of health care, including access and delivery. For the most part, health services in these countries are free to everyone; the systems are financed primarily by taxes. Other countries, such as Germany and France, guarantee health insurance for almost all their citizens, but the government plays a smaller role in managing health care. Both systems are financed at least in part by taxes on wages. The US government, by contrast, does not pay for most of its citizens’ health care. Generally, Americans receive health care through employer-sponsored insurance, or they arrange to pay for insurance on their own. Like all forms of insurance, health insurance operates by pooling the resources of a group of people who face similar risks. This creates a common fund that members can draw upon when needed. Each person in the group pays a certain amount, called a premium, every month. These premiums are used to cover the medical expenses of group members who become sick or injured. Health Insurance in the United States Today, most Americans receive health insurance through their place of work. Employers typically pay for part of the premiums. Most employer-sponsored plans are administered through payroll contributions. People who are self-employed and those whose employers do not provide health insurance must purchase individual health insurance. Individual plans are generally more expensive than group plans. Certain low-income individuals and families may be eligible for Medicaid, a form of government-sponsored health insurance. Running Head: ROLE OF EXECUTIVE ORDER IN ACA Role of Executive Order in ACA 2 Role of Executive Order in ACA By: Ameki Lee Dr. White MPA6501 SU01 State and Local Government and Intergovernmental Relations Role of Executive Order in ACA Affordable Act Care has been a significant issue in Texas State for the past seven years. Texas governor, Greg Abbott has been on the frontline in fighting the implementation of the Act in Texas and America. The governor's office claims that the penalties related to avoiding the Act are unconstitutional and not democratic (Toussaint, 2017). Furthermore, the Governor argues that the Affordable Care Act should be put on halt while the cause is being liquidated. However, the governor does not concentrate on improving the policy rather than doing away with it. Greg Abbott believes the pre-existing conditions are the major barriers for the effectiveness of the act. The Affordable Care Act allows people to purchase the policy even with pre-existing conditions. In favor of the governor, the act should limit the purchase of the act during such conditions with the aim of reducing the cost as well as the rates of insurance. Therefore, an appeal can be made based on the governors value since most Americans are complaining about the same issue (Toussaint, 2017). Affordable Act Care was implemented under the executive administrative policy. In America, an executive order is directed by the president on the managers of various federal governments with the aim of forcing policy to law. In 2013, former president of America Barack Hussein Obama issued a directive on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (Rovner, 2018). The current President, Donald Trump began fighting the Act by attacking the executive committee and even dismantling it. An executive order is written, signed and published by the president's office and directed to various federal departments. The Executive order directed all agencies responsible under the Affordable Care Act provision that will provide a regulatory and fiscal burden on entities that will be reluctant on adopting a policy. Also, the Executive Order directs the same agencies to offer greater flexibilities and collaboration on implementing such healthcare policies. Since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, the policy has suffered various criticisms in its debate. For those who believed that the primary goal of the Act was to make insurance more affordable didn’t achieve their purpose. However, the policy has caused more Americans to have access to medical insurance hence fostering a healthy nation. Since the Act is applicable in improving the public health of all Americans, it includes various resources in healthcare like materials, funds, personnel and other things that can be utilized in the provision of healthcare service. The act is also responsible for ensuring all medical care institutions have the necessary resource for effective operations (Ba.
