1. Development of my digital graphics
In this presentation I will discussing and showing the development progress of creating a weapon, character and
scenery.
I have chosen a quad barrel shotgun because its rarely used in video games so I wanted to
incorporate this into my game. It’s a really suitable gun for the game im making. Its also a
really badass looking gun.
First I started off by drawing the outline of the gun then I immediately started to colour it in the colours
I wanted. This is my first official drawing of my gun, using pencils and colouring pencils. After
completing this I scanned it and sent it to my email, after receiving the scanned image i then uploaded
the image to a program called ‘Pixlr’, it’s a really good image editing software.
2. Immediately after uploading my gun onto Pixlr. I drew the thick outline of my gun, making it stand out
a lot more.
After that I then started to add colour to it making it look abit more realistic, when adding
colour to the design, I mainly used the paint bucket tool to fill in the spaces with brown and
grey colours which were picked from the colour selector. These colours are also commonly
used on these types of guns. The pencil and brush tool were used to go over patches missed
from the bucket tool.
My gun of choice I have made, consists of a cel shaded look, this is quite commonly used
nowadays but not only that, it is aesthetically pleasing.
