SNTC
Communication is a process of interaction of ideas between the communicator and the
receiver to arrive at a common understanding for mutual benefits.Classroom
communication is very important in teaching learning, being the chief means by which the
teacher and the students work together.Classroom communication exists in three
categories :verbal, nonverbal, written.Verbal communication means anything that a teacher
or student speaks aloud.Nonverbal communication refers to the body language that people
express.
• In our daily life, communication helps us build relationshipsby allowing us to share our
experiences, and needs, and helps us connect to others. It’s the essence of life, allowing us to
expressfeelings, pass on information and share thoughts.
• Student/teacher communication is a vital part of maintaining student grades and improving
overall student success rates–not just communication directly from teachers to students, but
communication between the two parties.
• Effective communication can help to build and foster a safe learning environmentwhere
students can thrive, prosper and learn. The importance of establishing good communication at
a young age is critical in a child’s developmentand future learning
• If a teacher shows interest in a student’s opinions,that student will
feel that their thoughts or ideas are appreciated. This increases self
esteem and confidence.
• Three fundamental Elements are to be noted before an effective
communication can take place in the classroom. The elements are:
the communicator (teacher),the message (the impacted
knowledge),and the receiver (the pupils).
• Good classroom communication can improve behaviour and
attitude, catch social problems within the school before they
begin, and act as a foundation for social and emotional learning.
• Good communication skills build strong friendships. It also helps in making us confident
enough. Thus students get interested ingoing to school every day. It’s really important to
remain friendlywith others in this competitive world.Better verbal Communication and
physical expressionshelp them to make new friends.
• The classroom plays a fundamentalrole in the learning process. It providesthe components to
create the best educational space. Distribution in the classroom must be flexible to attend all
educational needs.
• The classroom communication helps us better understand people and situations. It helps us
overcome diversities, build trust and respect, and create conditions for sharing creative ideas
and solving problems.
Good classroom communication can improve behaviour
and attitude, catch social problems within the school before
they begin and act as a foundation for social and emotional
learning.Effective communicators are more effective
students.
