4. BUTTON EXPLANATIONS
The arrows allow you to move your links/content around.
The hand holding the pencil is your edit button.
The large X is your delete button.
The eye allows you to hide things.
An open eye means it is viewable by the students/parents.
A shut/closed eye means it is hidden from the students/parents.
11. DON’T FORGET…
Anytime you put something on the calendar you have to go
into the class it is for first! You can only post “course”
events!
All fonts are in Verdana 10!
All homework should be linked to the calendar!
If you are going to have different items due on different
days: you have to at least post what they are and when
they are due by Saturday at noon! You can make them
available later though!

Now that you are at the page you want to edit, Click on the button “Turn on Editing” in the top right hand corner of the page. Notes:
You can now see some extra little icons that have appeared. These will help you do the editing you need to do. Notes:

Now click on the 2 nd editing hand with pencil. This is were you will put what you are doing for the week. Make sure everything is Verdana 10! Notes:
Type in your objectives or what you will be working on for this chapter/unit/week. Again be sure to use Verdana 10 and to save your changes. Notes:
Click on the “files” link in the left hand column. Then click on “Upload File” and browse for the file you want to upload. This is the same if you are linking a file. The page may look a bit different but works the same way. Notes: Notes:
To add questions for a quiz click on the word “questions” in the left hand side. Chose the type of questions you want to make in the drop down box called “Create New Question”. (Matching is a good one to start with). Fill in your questions along with their answers. If you need more boxes for more questions, then click on the “3 More Sets of Blanks” button. When you are done click on the “Save Changes” button.
Return back to the main page for your grade level. Click on the “Turn on Editing” button. Click on the drop down menu where it says “Add an Activity” and click quiz. Fill out the information. When you are done click “Save and Display” Select the questions you want to add to this quiz. A check will appear in the box next to the questions you chose. Click the “Add to Quiz” button. Change the grade to 100 and click “save changes”. Go back to the main page for the grade level. Click the button “Turn Off Editing”. Your quiz is now ready!
Under “Add an Activity” click on “Offline Activity” Give your homework a name: You can give a discription of the homework like what they are to do or give instructions. You can also link to the worksheets they need to print out! You can do this by clicking the “chain link” icon! For the grade part you can leave it the same Available from: click the “disable” box Due Date: select the date you want the student to turn it in. The rest of the settings can stay the same. Posting your homework this way will put a link to it on your page and a link to it on the calendar.
