1. Ziqitza Health Care Ltd
1. What corruption challenges the company has faced so far? Has the
company responded?
Accused bad services and a bribe to mitigate these accusations. Along
with the expansion of their fleet the higher officials and petty bureaucrats
multiplied expecting bribes. And the central topic of case which is a bureaucrat
asking a bribe of 5% of invoice for approval. The company never responded
affirmatively to the bribery expectations and it has always denied any requests of
such agenda maintaining their values intact.
2. What are the underlying causes and implications?
Unless the government pays they will not be able to make
the pay roll and they won’t be able to service their new ambulance
which will open them up to accusations of negligence, Lives may be
lost. This might devastate their morale and ruin reputation.
3. Why are the arguments for and against taken position by the
company in regard to bribery and corruption?
For because it is economically a better option for the company and a
perspective of rafati which would probably solve many issues at hand like making
a pay roll. Against is an argument which takes place from the perspective of MS
Sweta Mangal who is always against corruption and wants to prove the world that
a business can operate corruption free and signifies the intensity of values that this
company has and the values for which this company is always looked up to, by all
means they cannot sacrifice the way the company operates and the values.
2. 4. How do you think Sweta will handle the issue brought to her by
Sanjay?
Approaching a bank and taking loan for the 15% interest rate which of course is
highly economical but protects the values which the company treasures. Disclosing
the issue to public to grab the attention and solve reputation issues as well as it
gives government attention.
4. How would you handle the issue?
I would like to create some evidence to prove that a bribe has been demanded
thereby proving the inefficiencies in the system and exploiting unethical practices.
This would neither take much time to produce results nor takes much money to
take such action. Funds in reserve would help or reinforce these actions to an
extent as well.
