2. Microphone I made my model hold a microphone in some of the photos I took. But decided in the end that these images did not suit my front cover. I had seen artist posing with microphones in magazine front covers but decided to not emulate these poses.
3. Watch In some of the photos I took for my front cover, I made my model wear a watch. But I decide not to use these photos for my front cover. This is not the exact photo I used for my front cover but is similar to the one I used.
4. Earrings My model was not wearing earrings on the day I was taking photos. So I decided to find some on the internet and add them on to the images on Adobe Photoshop. Although I spent quite a bit of time on making the earrings look realistic in the photos, I decided the earring on the right ear should not be used as it looked fake.
5. Image rejected I did not use this photo for many reasons. First of all the image was out of focus. Also the pose was not sufficient for a hip hop magazine front cover. Also the chain was not placed around the model correctly. In addition, I wanted my model to be looking direct at the camera, so that my model could be looking direct at the potential consumers.
6. Image rejected Although my model was directly looking at the camera lens and posing in a patriarchal manner, I rejected this photo. This was because my lack of experience in photography meant that I cut out the models folded arms. Apart from this reason I felt that a image similar to this would be appropriate for my front cover.
7. Image rejected In this image my model is posing in a very conventional manner to the poses seen in actual hip hop magazines. The problem with this photo however, was that the camera was out of focus. Also my attempts at making the t-shirt sleeves on this photo red did not work out. For this reason I did not use this photo.
