No. 1: Below are some thermodynamic data applicable to the remelting of scrap iron
from 35 to 1600 oC. Use the given data to determine how much(kmol) natural gas(CH4)
has to be used per tonne(1000 kg) of iron recycled. Assume pure stoichiometric O2 for
the combustion of the CH4. Assume everything leaves at 1600 oC.

place and in which order they happen. How do you know when to stop the oxidation
process

No. 5: An aluminum electrolysis cell has a total cell voltage of 4.5 V, a cell current of
250,000 Amps and a current efficiency of 96%. Calculate:

    a) daily aluminum production
    b) specific energy consumption(kWHr/kg Al)
