Nurse Candice filed an EEOC complaint against her employer, North Central Medical Hospital, alleging harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and a hostile work environment created by her manager Mr. Joseph. Candice claims Mr. Joseph denied her promotions, bonuses, and medical leave while making inappropriate comments about her race, religion, sex, age, and disability. After Candice reported Mr. Joseph to the CNO, his retaliatory behavior worsened. The hospital has hired an expert to provide training to managers on preventing discrimination, harassment, and toxic workplace behaviors.
