1. Communities Reflection
Communities:
I think a community is a group of people who are connected.I identify with
avariety of communities such as Buddhist, flat classroom project, BISS
School and my family. I enjoy belonging to my family community the most
because I live happy and I can play with my brother in this community. I
think communities are important for people becausethey can help each other
and it will not so hard to do things if we are working together.
My Virtual Community:
I was a member of a Flat Classroom Community called Team 2: School A.
While working with my community in Edmodo, I learned that there school
and our school is not similar and I also learned that every student like to
read books.I discovered that my team members and I had commonalities
such as subjects, books, recess time and going to school. I also discovered
that we had differences such as we don’t all like the comic books but some
people do like them. Some people also don’t like the same subjects. I
enjoyed being a member of this community because it is fun and I like to
talk with my friends in Edmodo. It was challenging to make better questions
and make better comments.
Media Collection:
I collected media to teach my community about in my school and the
interesting things we do. I collected photos and videos such as our logo,
BISS uniform, ASA and a rock-climbingwall. The most important photo I
shared was our logo. It was important because it is our symbol and it can
help you understand what type of school I go to.
Voice Thread Presentation:
I explained my media in a Voice Thread presentation. I enjoyed working
with Voice Thread because it was fun to do the recording of our voice.It
was challenging to explain theASA photo because it was hard to tell what
we were doing and how we have to choose our activities. I think I explained
about the logo isthe best because I told my group all the meaning of our
school’s symbol.Next time I use Voice Thread, I will try to tell more
informationeach photo.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed recording my voice. After this unit, I
will continue to belong to communities and make teams so we can be
together and help each other.
