Strategies For Improving Hiv Counselling Services Essay
For this research, AI will aim to empower HIV clients and counsellors as co–researchers, to contribute their expertise and experiences to propose ways
of improving HIV counselling services. AI is a participative, collaborative, and a systematic approach to inquiry that seeks what is right in an
organisation in order to create the desired future. It is a process and method for asking questions designed to strengthen a system's capacity for
organisational learning and creativity (Preskill & Coghlan, 2003). AI attempts to use ways of asking questions and envisioning the future in order to
foster positive relationships and build on the present potential of a given person, organisation or situation (Klomp, 2012). In my application of AI, the
co–researchers will share their stories of success and dreams of the future with each other. Recruited co–researchers will then combine the positive
aspects of their stories which relate to HIV counselling effectiveness to develop a collective vision. This will be followed by proposing a design for
achieving the collective vision. The stages of developing a collective vision and proposing a design may involve mind mapping, brainstorming, and/or
role–playing or any other method as preferred by the co–researchers. At the end, the co–researchers will discuss the future of the design, especially the
feasibility of their proposed design in the current programme settings. All the stages are independent of how the co–researchers decide the activity

Persuasive Speech On Vacations
It was during summers last year. I had just completed my first year in college (wasn't sure at that time as the result was still pending) and had come
home for my vacations. Now if you are an engineering student like me, you would know exactly how we spend our vacations. Yes, exactly what you
just told to yourself. We do nothing. As much as we swear to make our vacations productive, we always end up wasting it away with an ocean of
regrets flowing through our minds in the end. But last year, I decided to change this. No, I did not learn a new skill or do some project. That is still a
long way to go. Instead, I decided to go on a trip. How was this different than my other vacations? I decided to go alone. While most of you will be
thinking how adventurous I must be, let me be honest here. I had no intentions of going alone. The only way I was able to convince my parents
for this was the fact that five other friends were going with me. But don't we all know what happens in this case? Friends are the people who have
PHDs in cancelling the plans at last moment. How could my case be any exception? Even my friends called it off at the last moment. I knew if I
told my parents about it, they would never let me go. Since it was my first solo trip, I myself was not confident as well. With the kind of focus and
determination we engineers have one night before the exam, I decided to go alone. I was excited and thrilled, and scared.
Dharamsala was the place that we had decided to

India's Political Double Standard in Releasing Rijiv...
The Tamil Nadu state government's decision to release the convicts in India's former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassination case caused a ripple
across the nation. The Tamil Nadu cabinet on February 19, 2014 declared that they will release all the convicts with due consultations with the centre.
The state chief minister J Jayalalithaa in her statement informed "The cabinet has taken a decision to release the three convicts, Perarivalan, Murugan
and Santhan, along with those four, Nalini, Robert Pyas, Jayakumar and Ravichandran who are undergoing life sentence. The decision will be
conveyed to the Centre for appropriate action. If we don't get their response in three days, we will release all convicts in accordance with the rights
granted under the Code of Criminal Procedure."
The state government's decision came a day after the Supreme Court commuted death sentences on three men involved in the assassination to life
imprisonment citing the 11 year delay in deciding their mercy pleas. The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam and comprising
of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and S K Singh then left the decision of remission for the three convicts – Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan on the Tamil
Nadu state government.
The Tamil Nadu government's decision resulted in an emotional outburst from Rajiv Gandhi's son and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in his
political rally the same day. Rahul said "I am sad the killers are being freed," he said he does not

The South Asian Collection Of The Asian Art Museum
The South Asian collection of The Asian Art Museum, in gallery four, houses The Hindu Deity Brahmani [Figure 1], originally from Kanchipuram,
Tamil Nadu state and is dated approximately 875–950 AD. The artist is unknown. Her dimensions are 29 X 21 X 10 inches. In Hinduism, Brahmani is
the shakti of the god Brahma, the creator of the universe and senior member of the Hindu Trinity, and is one of the seven mother–goddesses that may
have been located in the temple of her origin ("The Hindu Deity Brahmani"). The sculpture was created during the Chola Dynasty, also known as the
Golden Age of Tamil Culture, and carved from either granite or hornfels granite. The Dravidian style of art and architecture attained brilliance under the
Cholas, and the dynasty's triumphs are considered the greatest in South Asia containing some of the most beautiful masterpieces ever produced in India
(Dehejia, 1990). This sculpture is an excellent representation of this goddess, confirming that the artistic vision of the Chola dynasty is paramount in
Indian art.
Equally as stunning, ornate temples were built to house sacred symbols to help Hindu devotees comprehend the incomprehensible. The temple is
considered the dwelling place of the deities and sculptures of Hindu gods set there is a visual representation used to generate a sense of reality of the
invisible. The temples provided a space for worshippers to perform rituals, leave offerings, touch, and feel the Gods. The purpose of the marvelous art

Hindi as a Language
The constitution of India (Article 343) recognises Hindi as the official language of India. Hindi is also the main language in many states of India such
as Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal/ Uttarakhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Himachal Pradesh. It is spoken by more
than 437 million people in the world. The other dialects of Hindi are Brajbhasha, Bundeli, Awadhi, Marwari, Maithili, Bhojpuri, to name only a few.
Hindi can be traced back to as early as the seventh or eighth century. The dialect that has been chosen as the official language is Khariboli in the
Devnagari script. Other dialects of Hindi are Brajbhasa, Bundeli, Awadhi, Marwari, Maithili and Bhojpuri.

The essential nature of Rasa, Alankara, Nayikabheda were illustrated by them through Saviyas and Kavithas. Poets like Chintamani, Keshav, Mati
Ram, Deva, Kulpati Misra and Bhikari Das were leaders of this style. The second group consists of free–minded poets like Alam, Ghananand, Bodha
and Thakur. They wrote in a spontaneous manner with feelings of love, quite quite dissilimar to rhetorical poetry. This age saw two more poetic
trends. Didactic poetry in stray verses composed by Vrinda, Vaital and Giridhar and Heroic Poetry by Bhushan, Sudan, Lal and various others.
Adhunikkal or Modern Period:
Modern Hindi literature has been divided into four phases; the age of Bharatendu or the Renaissance (1868–1893), Dwivedi Yug (1893–1918),
Chhayavada Yug (1918–1937) and the Contemporary Period (1937 onwards). Bharatendu Harishchandra (1849–1882) brought in a modern outlook in
Hindi literature and is thus called the 'Father of Modern Hindi Literature'. Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi later took up this vision. Dwivedi was a
reformist by nature and he brought in a refined style of writing in Hindi poetry, which later acquired a deeper moral tone. This was the age of revival
when the glory and grandeur of ancient Indian culture was fully adopted to enrich modern life. Social, political and economic problems were
portrayed in poetry while songs were of social awakening. This trend helped in the emergence of National Cultural Poetry whose leading poets were

The Goddess And The Nation : Mapping Mother India
In her book "The Goddess and the Nation: Mapping Mother India", Sumathi Ramaswamy takes a glance into the time when Mother India / Bharat
Mata emerged on the land of India, and talks about her significance, portrayal and mapping. The main purpose of this work by Sumathi Ramaswamy is
to understand how Mother India / Bharat Mata came into being, what was her importance among the people, how she was related geographically to the
map of India, her mapping throughout India and her depiction as a symbol of India. Rawaswamy delineates the origins and evolution of Indian patriotic

Ramaswamy also pays close attention to study and understand the relation between the main defining parts of the image of Bharat Mata and the land
of India that she represented. The main argument towards which she draws attention, in this chapter, is the interested deployment of mapped
configuration of India and the morphological form of Mother India, depicted in the printed pictures. Her dominant interest in this chapter and the
rest of the chapters is to understand how and what these different forms of Mother India are doing with each other. Also, she analyses how the look
of Mother India is formalized and risked, as "she is fashioned under the pressure of evolving visual patronization (14)". Along with this analysis she
also takes into consideration how and why the mapped form of India became an intimate part of her look. In the second chapter, she goes on to talk
about the other Mothers/ women who were like Mother India and were popular in the world. She compares Mother India with all the other great
women figures in the world, who like her have been imagined and have functioned as embodiments of modern world, for example the "Britannia" who
found visibility in the resurgence of the "modern English–British National Imperialism" (Pg–73). She also explores the striking fact that Mother India

The Ethics Of The Bhopal Disaster
In the Business Ethics Foundation Terms class (September 2nd 2014), we discussed the ethical implications of the Bhopal disaster on December 2nd
and 3rd, 1983. A plant that belonged to Union Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the
livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of
the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor laws, non–exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical facilities in
Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations
moving into the possible disaster zone. The government of India's negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of building a
manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the
environment and population of Bhopal. This is not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of
India's lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the UCC's settlement actions in 1989. Due to these
reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but
also for

names would not be used, and an agricultural research center would be constructed (Mukund, 2003) Over the years, Pepsi failed to meet the majority of
the promises, the national government faced a financial crisis being unable to fund itself, India's northern territories were at war with militant

The Pros And Cons Of Decentralization In India
argued that the PRI are unable to function to their potential due to fiscal and administrative autonomy is minimum under PRI. Prior to the 73rd
amendment, there have been attempts at decentralization in India but have vastly failed in various states due to the vested interests of the bureaucracy
and state politicians. These vested interests of the powerful in state still pose a threat to the decentralized setup because it establishes dominance of the
powerful in state bureaucracy and leads to incidences of corruption as currently witnessed in India.

In this view, poverty reduction, especially in rural areas plays a crucial part. The dimensions of poverty reduction in terms of decentralization are
preconditioned to democratization, higher sensitivity to local needs and higher community participation. Decentralization in India has the capacity and
worked well in terms of administrative devolution but to reap the full benefits of it, it needs to be associated with broad based, multidimensional
policies with fiscal devolution and higher participation by the people.
Political participation is an important aspect of freedoms entitled to individuals and should not be overlooked. Political freedom is one aspect
wherein everyone gets a similar chance to voice their opinions and choices unless the system is weakened by corruption and weak linkages.
Eliminating multilevel inefficiencies like that in bureaucracy and market would certainly lead to better standard of living for all. Poverty which

Separate State Essay
TELANGANA MOVEMENT
The Demand for a Separate State
– K. Jayashankar*
A Historical Perspective The people of Telangana are once again restive, reiterating their demand for a separate state. The demand of the people of
this region for a separate state is not a new development. It was voiced much before the formation of Andhra Pradesh and continues to be raised even
thereafter. The reason for the opposition of people of Telangana to join Visalandhra (metamorphosed to Andhra Pradesh) was fear of neglect and
injustice in the enlarged state and the reason for their refusal to continue in the present state is the actual experience of becoming victims of neglect and
injustice. The States Reorganization Commission (SRC) set up by the government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These promises were made not once. They were made umpteen times (and were also broken umpteen times). Nor the merger of Telangana with
Andhra was considered eternal. No less a person than Jawaharlal Nehru himself compared it with matrimonial alliance having "provision for divorce"
if the partners in the alliance cannot get on well. (Deccan Chronicle, March 6, 1956). As feared, nothing could prevent the successive governments from
exploiting this region in every spear – economic, political, administrative, cultural and linguistic. The Gentlemen's Agreement of 1956, which was an
assurance of fair play given to the people of Telangana to facilitate the formation of Andhra Pradesh, was scuttled the very same day on which the
state was born, by the very same "Gentlemen" who were signatories to the agreement. The result was a massive revolt of the people of the region in
1968–69 demanding separation of Telangana from the state of Andhra Pradesh. It has come to be known as Jai Telangana Movement. The
governments of the time in the state and at the centre then woke up and tried (or pretended) to undo the damage done to the region. The first step
taken in that direction was the All Party Accord of January 1969 arrived at a meeting of the leaders of all political parties in the state convened by the

Analysis Of The Film ' New York '
Aseem quite vividly describes the first time he heard about the film and how he came to be the cinematographer for it. He elaborates, "I had just
come back from New York after shooting the film 'New York' and Irrfan called me and said there's a film called Paan Singh Tomar. I hadn't ever heard
about him at the time. I had heard of Milkha Singh and other famous athletes and Phoolan Devi, Man Singh and other notorious bandits but not Paan
Singh Tomar. Irrfan said there is afilm, my friend is directing it, and he asked me to shoot it because of the way I shot Bhanwar (television
docudrama). He really liked the look in the series. Bhanwar was how I met Irrfan as he had come to Delhi to shoot one of the episodes. So I met
Tigmanshu and he gave me the script. The moment I read it I felt this was my kind of script. I liked it a lot. I liked the movie Bandit Queen– the way
it was handled, the way it was shot, the consistency of the film/cinematography. Not that it influences or impacts my work, but I connected to the
landscape– it's pretty wild. You need to shoot that kind of landscape on Panavision because that's how it makes you feel. It has lots of details, textures
that, to me, are very important. In fact I didn't even go for recce because there was no time, I saw some pictures and gave them basic requirements and
started shooting."

Himachal Pradesh: History and Geography
Pre History & Early History
The history of Himachal Pradesh dates back to around two million years. At this point of time, people lived in the foothills of Himachal Pradesh. These
original inhabitants of Himachal, the Kols and the Mundas, were forced by the people of the great Indus valley civilization to move up to the hills.
The Indus valley civilization prospered here between 2250 and 1750 BC. The second wave of migrants to the state saw Mongoloid, like Bhota and
Kiratas coming in. However, the most important lot of people entered the area only afterwards in the third wave of migration. These were Aryans from

But even at the end of the first Anglo Sikh war, these rulers did not get back their kingdom (which was taken over by the Sikhs).
The British Period & Struggle For Independence
The revolt of the 1857 did not see much participation from the people of the hill. They preferred to stay away from the revolt and infact some of the
rulers even extended help to the Britishers. Few exceptions here included the ruler of Bushahr.
Between the year 1858 and 1914, the hill states of Chamba, Mandi and Bilaspur prospered under the British rule and even supported the latter during
the first world war. The important states that contributed their men and money for the first world war included Kangra, Siba, Nurpur, Chamba, Suket,
Mandi and Bilaspur. After 1914, things began to change and the people came out to participate in the freedom movement of India.
Post Independence
Himachal Pradesh became a part C state on 26th January 1950 and a Union Territory on 1st November, 1956. In between, Bilaspur was made a part of
it in 1950. Kangra and other hill states were merged into the Union territory of Himachal Pradesh in the year 1966. Finally, four years later, in 1970,
through the the State of Himachal Pradesh Act, Himachal Pradesh became the eighteenth state of India.

Hindi Nationalism
Hindi Nationalism
This piece on Hindu nationalism, written by Alok Rai, deals with the coming of modern Hindi in the late 90s and the early 20s. Alok Rai who is also
known as a critical thinker, theorist and also the grandson of Premchand makes his readers aware of the process of modernization in the case of
language. In this essay we get to witness a connection between Hindi (old Hindi) and "Hindi" (new Hindi). Making of Hindi as a modern language
connects to the programme of the imagining the nation largely in a broad manner.
Today when we speak of Hindi, we talk about larger conflicts and controversies based on language. For instance the language conflict between Tamil
and Hindi. There is a problem with this assumption, because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The novelty of the new age demands that the soft and delicate language such as Braj Bhasha should be left out, we cannot remain with the feminine
language because the new age demands new language and the new language came in the form of modern "Hindi". The Awadh elites who were the
bearers of "Hindi" were practically forced to invent the style, a culture, a new form of consciousness. The whole national consciousness was at
stake as it was a matter of adopting a whole new consciousness. Through this piece, we get to discover that in the language matters, when there is a
loss, there will also be a gain. For instance, the Khari Boli Hindi poetry was realized as a powerful invention which was slowly taken over by Urdu.
But after this entire complex thing, we get to experience some gain, which came in the form of modern "Hindi" that brought a new social order and
awareness.
"Hindi" came from Hindi, a narrative intimate stabilization and dispossession. We cannot judge that how we possess a language because it is a very
intimate possession. Language is moreover, a private thing, people generally do not speak pure Hindi in today's time. Today Hindi has become a
middle language, which is the result of the exchange of culture and language by the people while living in the society.

ABSTRACT
Corporate social responsibility is a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business activities and in
interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis. In this global context, voluntary social and environmental practices of business, going beyond
companies' existing legal obligations, can play a major role in filling the governance gap in an innovative way. The sector is characterized by controls
across the entire value–chain of sugar production and sale, which not only hampers its efficiency but also exacerbates the cyclicality in sugar and
sugarcane production. The growth and development in sugar sector in the country in general and in the state of Uttar Pradesh in particular has multiple
linkages with social, economic and environmental issues. The purpose of this study is to conduct a triple bottom line assessment of sugarcane value
chain and suggest alternatives that could improve the current sustainable practices of CSR across various stakeholders.

Rajputs are one of the major Hindu Kshatriya groups in India. After the death of Harsha, northern India disintegrated completely. This period was
marked by the ascendancy of the Kshatriya clan, Rajputs.
Under their rule several small kingdoms sprang up. These small provincial kingdoms, however, were continuously at war with each other. This period
has been conveniently termed as the Rajput period by the historians. Though the origin of the Rajputs had not yet been discovered, the historians have

Strategies For Improving Hiv Counselling Services Essay

  • 1. Strategies For Improving Hiv Counselling Services Essay For this research, AI will aim to empower HIV clients and counsellors as co–researchers, to contribute their expertise and experiences to propose ways of improving HIV counselling services. AI is a participative, collaborative, and a systematic approach to inquiry that seeks what is right in an organisation in order to create the desired future. It is a process and method for asking questions designed to strengthen a system's capacity for organisational learning and creativity (Preskill & Coghlan, 2003). AI attempts to use ways of asking questions and envisioning the future in order to foster positive relationships and build on the present potential of a given person, organisation or situation (Klomp, 2012). In my application of AI, the co–researchers will share their stories of success and dreams of the future with each other. Recruited co–researchers will then combine the positive aspects of their stories which relate to HIV counselling effectiveness to develop a collective vision. This will be followed by proposing a design for achieving the collective vision. The stages of developing a collective vision and proposing a design may involve mind mapping, brainstorming, and/or role–playing or any other method as preferred by the co–researchers. At the end, the co–researchers will discuss the future of the design, especially the feasibility of their proposed design in the current programme settings. All the stages are independent of how the co–researchers decide the activity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Persuasive Speech On Vacations It was during summers last year. I had just completed my first year in college (wasn't sure at that time as the result was still pending) and had come home for my vacations. Now if you are an engineering student like me, you would know exactly how we spend our vacations. Yes, exactly what you just told to yourself. We do nothing. As much as we swear to make our vacations productive, we always end up wasting it away with an ocean of regrets flowing through our minds in the end. But last year, I decided to change this. No, I did not learn a new skill or do some project. That is still a long way to go. Instead, I decided to go on a trip. How was this different than my other vacations? I decided to go alone. While most of you will be thinking how adventurous I must be, let me be honest here. I had no intentions of going alone. The only way I was able to convince my parents for this was the fact that five other friends were going with me. But don't we all know what happens in this case? Friends are the people who have PHDs in cancelling the plans at last moment. How could my case be any exception? Even my friends called it off at the last moment. I knew if I told my parents about it, they would never let me go. Since it was my first solo trip, I myself was not confident as well. With the kind of focus and determination we engineers have one night before the exam, I decided to go alone. I was excited and thrilled, and scared. Dharamsala was the place that we had decided to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. India's Political Double Standard in Releasing Rijiv... The Tamil Nadu state government's decision to release the convicts in India's former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassination case caused a ripple across the nation. The Tamil Nadu cabinet on February 19, 2014 declared that they will release all the convicts with due consultations with the centre. The state chief minister J Jayalalithaa in her statement informed "The cabinet has taken a decision to release the three convicts, Perarivalan, Murugan and Santhan, along with those four, Nalini, Robert Pyas, Jayakumar and Ravichandran who are undergoing life sentence. The decision will be conveyed to the Centre for appropriate action. If we don't get their response in three days, we will release all convicts in accordance with the rights granted under the Code of Criminal Procedure." The state government's decision came a day after the Supreme Court commuted death sentences on three men involved in the assassination to life imprisonment citing the 11 year delay in deciding their mercy pleas. The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam and comprising of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and S K Singh then left the decision of remission for the three convicts – Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan on the Tamil Nadu state government. The Tamil Nadu government's decision resulted in an emotional outburst from Rajiv Gandhi's son and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in his political rally the same day. Rahul said "I am sad the killers are being freed," he said he does not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The South Asian Collection Of The Asian Art Museum The South Asian collection of The Asian Art Museum, in gallery four, houses The Hindu Deity Brahmani [Figure 1], originally from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu state and is dated approximately 875–950 AD. The artist is unknown. Her dimensions are 29 X 21 X 10 inches. In Hinduism, Brahmani is the shakti of the god Brahma, the creator of the universe and senior member of the Hindu Trinity, and is one of the seven mother–goddesses that may have been located in the temple of her origin ("The Hindu Deity Brahmani"). The sculpture was created during the Chola Dynasty, also known as the Golden Age of Tamil Culture, and carved from either granite or hornfels granite. The Dravidian style of art and architecture attained brilliance under the Cholas, and the dynasty's triumphs are considered the greatest in South Asia containing some of the most beautiful masterpieces ever produced in India (Dehejia, 1990). This sculpture is an excellent representation of this goddess, confirming that the artistic vision of the Chola dynasty is paramount in Indian art. Equally as stunning, ornate temples were built to house sacred symbols to help Hindu devotees comprehend the incomprehensible. The temple is considered the dwelling place of the deities and sculptures of Hindu gods set there is a visual representation used to generate a sense of reality of the invisible. The temples provided a space for worshippers to perform rituals, leave offerings, touch, and feel the Gods. The purpose of the marvelous art ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The essential nature of Rasa, Alankara, Nayikabheda were illustrated by them through Saviyas and Kavithas. Poets like Chintamani, Keshav, Mati Ram, Deva, Kulpati Misra and Bhikari Das were leaders of this style. The second group consists of free–minded poets like Alam, Ghananand, Bodha and Thakur. They wrote in a spontaneous manner with feelings of love, quite quite dissilimar to rhetorical poetry. This age saw two more poetic trends. Didactic poetry in stray verses composed by Vrinda, Vaital and Giridhar and Heroic Poetry by Bhushan, Sudan, Lal and various others. Adhunikkal or Modern Period: Modern Hindi literature has been divided into four phases; the age of Bharatendu or the Renaissance (1868–1893), Dwivedi Yug (1893–1918), Chhayavada Yug (1918–1937) and the Contemporary Period (1937 onwards). Bharatendu Harishchandra (1849–1882) brought in a modern outlook in Hindi literature and is thus called the 'Father of Modern Hindi Literature'. Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi later took up this vision. Dwivedi was a reformist by nature and he brought in a refined style of writing in Hindi poetry, which later acquired a deeper moral tone. This was the age of revival when the glory and grandeur of ancient Indian culture was fully adopted to enrich modern life. The Ethics Of The Bhopal Disaster In the Business Ethics Foundation Terms class (September 2nd 2014), we discussed the ethical implications of the Bhopal disaster on December 2nd and 3rd, 1983. A plant that belonged to Union Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor laws, non–exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical facilities in Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations moving into the possible disaster zone. The government of India's negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of building a manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the environment and population of Bhopal. This is not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of India's lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the UCC's settlement actions in 1989. Due to these reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but also for ... I liked it a lot. I liked the movie Bandit Queen– the way it was handled, the way it was shot, the consistency of the film/cinematography. Not that it influences or impacts my work, but I connected to the landscape– it's pretty wild. You need to shoot that kind of landscape on Panavision because that's how it makes you feel. It has lots of details, textures that, to me, are very important. In fact I didn't even go for recce because there was no time, I saw some pictures and gave them basic requirements and started shooting."
