organizes, manages any
enterprise, especially a business,
usually with considerable
initiative and risk.
Entrepreneurs can rightly be
called the force that drives
economic and social progress.
They are the innovators and the
source of employment,
productivity and progression.

in. It is solely because of them
that we can enjoy the products
that we do and use the excellent
and useful services brought to us
because these famous
entrepreneurs were willing to
work towards achieving the ideas
that led to these products and

8. Dame Anita Roddick
was a British businesswoman, human rights activist
and environmental campaigner, best known as the
founder of The Body Shop, a cosmetics company
producing and retailing beauty products that shaped
ethical consumerism. The company was one of the
first to prohibit the use of ingredients tested on
animals and one of the first to promote fair trade
with third world countries.
As founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates is one of
the most influential and richest people on the
planet. Recent estimates of his wealth put it
at $56 billion, this is the equivalent of the
combined GDP of several African economies. In
recent years he has retired from working full
time at Microsoft, instead he has concentrated
on working with his charitable foundation “The

9. Thomas Edison (1847 – 1931)
was an American inventor and businessman who developed and made
commercially available – many key inventions of modern life. His
Edison Electric company was a pioneering company for delivering DC
electricity directly into people’s homes. He filed over 1,000 patents
for a variety of different inventions. Crucially, he used mass-
produced techniques to make his inventions available at low cost to
households across America. His most important inventions include,
the electric light bulb. the phonograph, the motion picture
camera,an electric car and electric power station.
Steve Jobs was an American businessman and
inventor who played a key role in the success
of Apple computers and the development of
revolutionary new technology such as the
iPod, iPad and MacBook.

10. Lorand Soares-Szász is known in the business as a young man who
started as a gardener and three and a half to get to work in the
largest business coaching firm in the world or the one who started
a training and coaching company in the province and in less than
four years has grown to be probably the most sought after speaker
and trainer in Romania.
The first event was attended by just 18 people, most of whom
were friends or relatives. Today, it is the trainer who meet in
seminars and workshops most entrepreneurs in the country. Over
40 000 people have been events that you have as a speaker.
