1. What did my Audience think of
my Front Page?
I’ll be showing you the parts of what my audience liked
and dislike and their overall opinions of the Front Page
2. Emily Wells
The first thing Emily Wells, who reads
‘Kerrang’ herself, noticed was the colour
of the Anchorage text. The text ‘Julia
Parker’ was previously red, she thought
that it should be changed as that red
colour was dominating the page too
much. Also, the smaller text underneath
makes being a different colour makes
each bit of text stand out more as they’re
more individual. She also mentioned,
though, that she liked the font of the
‘Julia Parker’ as it’s different to the rest of
the page.
3. Charlie Burns
Charlie thought that the picture
and text about the ‘Punk’s new
star’ was good with fonts, colours
and design but it was previously
down in the corner with the main
image slightly to the left to fit it in
and thought that it should be
moved because it left a too bigger
gap on the left and just looked
‘messy’. He also mentioned that
the accent colour of the yellow on
the page reminded her of the
‘Kerrang’ and ‘Q’ magazines he has
read and looked very professional.
4. Joe Williamson
For my masthead, I had always
used this particular font, however,
the colours of the letters and box
background were different. I
showed all of the different ones I
create to Joe and he thought that
with the magazine none of them
really fitted in and suggested I
actually used these specific colours.
In a way, it also mimics other
magazine like ‘Q’ who also have a
red box behind white text for the
masthead which I only discovered
after I made the magazine.
5. Victoria Poole
Vicky loved the main image.
However, like Charlie, she
thought that it should be moved
to the right to allow sufficient
room for the extra items and sell
lines instead of cramming it all in
on both sides. But she did
mention that the effect on the
image was good and dimmed
some of the colours down so
gave it a little darker feel and
gives the image more of a colour
balance.
