1. Intro: Piracy can be summed up very simply, it is the illegal creation and disrupting of an other’s
work. The main examples would be Films, music and last video games. Over £47 to £400
million, per year has been made taken from the film industry alone by pirate sources.
I have interviewed some of students, people not connection with any industries that create such
content and gaining their opinions on piracy.
The growth of piracy had really begin from 2008 as a result of developed Internet technologies
and file-sharing applications. Due to this an increased demand for digital goods allowing piracy
to thrive. Piracy is regarded as a negative force on business damaging on digital copies sales
but as online suffers, physical copies such as vinyl have continued to increase year after year,
thanks only affecting competitive labels such as Spotify.
