● approximately 1.43 crores students appeared for
different 12th annual examination/board conducted by
national or state-level authorities.
● Students go through min. 14 grades in India at school lv.
● At present, the paper says, the higher education sector in
India consists of 3.74 crore students

Guesstimate
Based on the all the facts previously it will be safe to
calculate the number of Indians using a book in a year.
For Student Lv (from nursery to graduation/ 4-21 yrs)
(14 * 1.4 cr) + 3.74cr = 23.34 cr (Sure shot use books)
For above 22 yrs - 67% population of India - 92 cr
Assuming the least 1% like to read books for fun - 9.2 cr
Total= 23.34 + 9.2 cr = 32.5 cr
Removing the upper class who might not consider used
books (20%)

Why it’s better than the present situation
Solution description
Now that we have identified different parameters
of the problem. Lets move to the solution.
I propose to make a simple, sober yet effective
mobile app (Kitab-Ghar) which is able to solve all
the problems of different user types and is able to
cater all user actions.
The picture depicts the Business Model.
Why it’s better than present situation
● Kitab-Ghar will connect the interested sellers and buyers.
● Kitab-Ghar will connect like-minded people.
● Kitab-Ghar will help people find better deals (Buyer/Sellers).
● Kitab-Ghar will help to contribute to a cause when a lot of books were going into garbage
where they can now be used by someone who really needs it.
● Kitab-Ghar will open opportunities for people to build network/collections and make small
revenues for themselves.

● User will also be able to access the number of buyers that have shown interest on his
postings and will be able to take a action for next steps.
Upcoming Events
● This tab will showcase the upcoming events in your surroundings or for the searched
location like Book-Swap, Donation Drives, Book Reading Sessions etc
● This will help users to engage and find like-minded people, build communities and
may even make themselves a better individual.
● Users may attach themselves to a noble cause and work for it
Conclusion
➔ I am glad, I was given this opportunity to work on this case and express my view and skills.
➔ Working on this project I was able to explore a lot of new things, learnings were immense,
and I am happy that I was able to finish the work on time though the problem was BIG and
time was LESS xD.
➔ A lot of research, hardwork and brainstorming finally has come to end and I am excited to
present you Kitab-Ghar with immense please.

Target Audience Guesstimate ● Population of India: 138 Crore ○ 20% Upper Class: 27 Crore ○ 28% Middle Class: 38 Crore ○ 49% Lower Class: 67 Crore ○ 26% belong to 0-14 yrs ○ 67% belong to 15-64 yrs ○ 6.38% belong to above 67 yrs ● approximately 1.43 crores students appeared for different 12th annual examination/board conducted by national or state-level authorities. ● Students go through min. 14 grades in India at school lv. ● At present, the paper says, the higher education sector in India consists of 3.74 crore students
  • 10. Audience size Guesstimate Based on the all the facts previously it will be safe to calculate the number of Indians using a book in a year. For Student Lv (from nursery to graduation/ 4-21 yrs) (14 * 1.4 cr) + 3.74cr = 23.34 cr (Sure shot use books) For above 22 yrs - 67% population of India - 92 cr Assuming the least 1% like to read books for fun - 9.2 cr Total= 23.34 + 9.2 cr = 32.5 cr Removing the upper class who might not consider used books (20%) Makes our user base (Target Audience to): 26 cr

  • 21. Solution description Now that we have identified different parameters of the problem. Lets move to the solution. I propose to make a simple, sober yet effective mobile app (Kitab-Ghar) which is able to solve all the problems of different user types and is able to cater all user actions. The picture depicts the Business Model.
