governs the rights and duties
agreed between employers and
employees. In its most simplistic
sense, this means that regulations
have been designed in order to
ensure the safety of the worker,
and to guarantee that workers are
treated fairly by the employer.
 It is also considered a breach
of Employment Law to retaliate
against an individual because
that individual has made a
complaint against perceived
discriminatory practice, formally
filed a charge of discrimination,
or took part in an employment
discrimination investigation or
lawsuit.
 All Employment legislation
prohibits discrimination in every
aspect of employment,” reiterates
Galit Kierkut “To this end, it is
deemed illegal for an employer to
place job advertisements
indicating a preference – or
discouraging an applicant – from
applying for a position because of
his or her race, color, religion,
sex, age, and disability or genetic
information.
 Another area of interest is
recruitment. Obviously, it is
unlawful to recruit potential
employees solely on the basis of
their ethnic origin.
