India’s travel & tourism sector attracted capital investments of INR

government spending in India on travel and tourism is expected to

• Foreign Tourists are a key component of the direct contribution
of Travel & Tourism. In CY2017, foreign tourist arrivals in India
stood at 10.17M and reached 8.36M in January-October 2018,
achieving a growth rate of 6.20 per cent year-on-year.
• By 2028, international tourist arrivals are forecasted to total
30.42M generating tourism revenue of INR3,316.4B, an increase
of 5.5% pa.
• Growth in tourist arrivals has been due to flexible government
policies, developed rail & road infrastructure, ease in availability
of e-visas to foreign tourists.

The Domestic Tourism in India is growing at an average growth rate of
