1. Problems we faced filming in the dance studio
We found it quite difficult to control the lighting as it kept on changing colour when we
wanted to use the white lighting. So, in the end we came up with a solution to use our
phone flash light, Thabsoom held the light behind the camera so that I could be seen clearly.
As we wanted for that particular shot to show my character talking to someone and trying
to get rid of them. Also, the shot of where I am hiding behind the curtains was quite short,
so we had to re-shoot the scene minimum of twice to extend it when editing.
Furthermore, we whilst filming the camera focus kept on going off which made it difficult to
identify what my character was doing. However, as our genre is based on horror we decided
to go forth with the blurring effect as it creates tension to the audience as the shots starts to
fade and then suddenly something appears.
Also, we tried to get a shot of me looking into the mirror and banging my head against it,
but it was quite difficult to find the right position to face the camera as we did not want the
camera to reflect on the mirror.
We wanted to have a shot of where I am is scribbling on a piece of paper, but due to
equipment not available at the time needed we could not shoot that scene.
