1. Reflection unit 1
Gabriela Quezada
This unit helps me to understand the concepts of testing and assessing, and
their main differences and purposes. Since as future teachers to-be, we need to
keep in mind that we are not just educators of students learning, but also
assessors during the process of learning and acquiring the second language.
Moreover, in order to be competent, we need to manage and put into practice the
principles studied in this unit.
Furthermore, in this unit we were able to learn the principles that rule the act
of assessing, such as validity, reliability, authenticity, interactiveness, practicality,
among others. Moreover is because of these principles that the process of
assessing is not based on intuition but on theory, and these principles are the ones
that make the process of assessing clear and fair for all the students under
different situations.
