Wydarzenia podsumowujące w ramach projektu finansowanego ze środków Komisji Europejskiej, w ramach Programu Erasmus+ Wolontariat.
Wolontariuszki Agnieszka i Ewa zorganizowały wydarzenie „Zines for the planet”. Były to warsztaty zine-makingowe o tematyce ekologicznej.
4. The project was made
in collaboration with different
local NGOs - ART Telheiras,
Cantinho das Mãos and Centro
Comunitário de Telheiras.
This collaboration was meant
to better address the needs
of the local community and involve
people from different
environments.
The participation in the workshops
was free of charge and open
for everyone regardless of age,
sex, knowledge or artistic skills.

6. Whythis
format?
Zines, throughout history, were meant as manifests of the
political statements.
Amateur, uncompromising and committed to the case.
They were at the same time art and means of communication.
„Zines for the planet” was a project that’s willing to continue
these traditions by rising the problem of climate change and
omnipresent ecological disasters.
It created space for everyone to share their thoughts, fears, and
ideas on how to deal with the problems

8. Each participant made its zine.
The workshops provided information
about the history of zines and
collage techniques but also some
information about environmental
changes.
However, participants were
free in choosing the topic of their zine
and art a technique they want to use.
9. Theexhibition
In October 2019 we opened an exhibition
in Lagar of Telheiras. During the vernissage,
we put a green board and markers, and we
encouraged people to write down their ideas
on how they personally can change the
planet.
The exhibition was open for about a month.
During this time I also did guide visits for
groups from the local community (ex. Centro
de Communitario)).

11. Theoutcome
During the period of the project, I managed
to do 5 workshops for different groups – kids,
elderly people, other volunteers, people from
the community of Telheiras. It was a
dynamic environment in which each of the
participants could bring something new to
the table. We discussed also the things that
are done better and the ones that could be
improved in Telheiras or everyone's life.
The zines that were made during the
sessions showed different worries, problems,
and artistic approaches.
After the workshops, participants could
receive their works both in paper and
digitalized version.
