2. Albatrosses are the most amazing
travellers. The great albatross has
the longest wings and it can fly
400 km a day. They grab fish from
the sea because they have hooked
beaks. Albatrosses live for 50-60
years.

boats. They pull huge nets
through the oceans and the
nets trap many albatrosses
when they dive in the water
and they drown.

3. Penguins cannot fly but they are
excellent swimmers. Some penguins
live in warm places, some live in
warm places. The Emperor penguin is
the tallest and it is 110 cm. The
smallest is the Little Blue Penguin. It
is only 40 cm tall.

underwater and they can
catch fish in the ocean. The
Emperor penguin can dive
down 565 m and it can stay
underwater for 20 minutes.

bird warm.

4. Webbed feet
Swans live on the rivers and
small lakes. Usually they are
white, but sometimes swans
have black heads and necks.
Swans are very graceful.
Swans build the most
enormous nests from twigs
and branches in plants near
the water. The mother bird
lays 4-7 eggs. Wide, flat feet
help the swans to swim. A
baby swan is a cygnet.

5. A baby goose is a gosling. Many
geese are wild but you can see
them on farms too. They live
near the water.

When they fly together,
