Whangarei Public Library has
asked us to lend them our
wonderful surreal clock artwork
from Term 1 for public display -
we're officially famous!
3. As well as fractions, Room 2 have been learning about volume and capacity in maths this
term. They experimented with measuring out ingredients to make their own cereal recipe.
6. Room 2 have been learning to create a picture in the reader's mind by using descriptive
language. To fit in with our topic in Term 2,Johnnie has written about The Sea.
The Sea
I was at the sunny and shiny beach,
playing in the blue and shiny water. The
blue, sunny and shiny sea was like a cat’s
tail curling up in the bright blue sky. There
were little holes in the sand and the blue
shiny water was up to the hot sandy sand.
The cold water was touching my feet. It
was very cold like the North Pole.
