1. Whangarei District Library has borrowed Room 2’s fantastic clock pictures from Term 1 for
display at the public library in town – we’re officially famous!
3. Room 2 have been using
their notes to write
reports with a partner.
4. As well as fractions, Room 2 have been learning about volume and
capacity in maths this term. They experimented with measuring out
ingredients to make their own cereal recipe.
8. Room 2 are learning to create a picture in the reader's mind using descriptive writing.
To fit in with our topic in Term 2, Ashley has written about The Sea.
The Sea
The scary sea was as blue as the sky.
The blue shining sea is so rough. The
waves are as shiny as stars. Waves are
as big as a giant. The waves crash into
the sand so far. The waves make a
terrible noise. The waves were so
scary.
