1. 1. It is designed in Corel Draw X7, which is one of the best progammes of vector graphic, which
allows resizing drawn objects so as not to experience quality loss and also creates reduced size
files which can be exported into other graphic forms (bmp, jpeg, png, gif, tiff, ai, etc)
2. Except for the emblems on the flags of some of the participating countries, taken from the
internet, all the objects and ideas presented in the logo are original.
It is round, shaped like a coin, which symbolizes value.
The colour - various hues of grey - reminds of silver, platinum, precious metals.
Inside the outer circle, on the bottom, there are 7 people, who
- have a shape similar to the stars on the European Union flag, under whose supervision
the project has been developped.
- they are “dressed up” in the flags of the countries participating to the project
- they hold hands to show the unity and friendship of the participants and the common
support of the three values (family, community, school).
- right in the middle is the Portuguese, representing the coordinating country, the rest
are symetrically ordered according to the colours on the flags of the representative
countries.
Inside the outer circle we also have the slogan of the project, "The Troika of My Values",
in capital letters, visibly, in a semicircle in order to round up and stress the message of the
other parts of the logo.
In the inner circle - there is a Roman temple which,
- represents a centre of spiritual and intellectual values, values transmitted to families, community and school.
- has 3 columns (by number 3 in roman format), each of them having 5 rectangles on height, to emphasize the appearance of columns supporting the building.
- on top of each column, a frontispiece supported by them, is one letter - "F" - short for family, "C" - short for the community, "S" short for the school, the
three values of the project slogan, separated by one point. Romans, abbreviated words which they carved in stone by points, primarily due to lack of space
for writing (most were inscriptions on tombstones) but also because of the difficulty of carving messages in stone.
Under the roof of the temple are written in Arabic numerals (for easier reading) years from which the project takes place, the roof representing the European
Union protecting the 3 values.
3. The logo is easy to remember and has a positive impact for the project.
It also comply with the meanings of the acronym KISS - Keep it Short and Simple.
