5. Do you know the value of your life?
It doesn’t matter where you come from
Where you where born
The color of your skin or
how much money you were born into.
6. It matters
Where you decide to place yourself
The people you surrounds yourself with
How you choose to carry yourself
8. “So God created man in His own image; in the image
of God He created him; male and female He
created them.”
(Genesis 1:27)
Your value begins with the fact that you are made by the hand of the
Creator in His very image.
9. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you a future and a hope.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
God’s thoughts toward you are wonderful, and He has
great plans for your life!
10. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as
though God were pleading through us.” (2
Corinthians 5:20)
God has given you a high calling as an ambassador to share His
great love with others.
You belong to God, and as long as you cling to Him, no one can
take that from you. His Word overwhelmingly confirms that you
are His cherished treasure!
13. You can also choose to see the value in other
people
You can help other people see the diamond in
them
14. Choose the people you surround yourself with
wisely; that can make all the differences in
your life.
15.
16. • We were planned for God's pleasure
- so your first purpose is to offer real worship.
• We were formed for God's family
– so your second purpose is to enjoy real fellowship.
• We were created to become like Christ,
– so your third purpose is to learn real discipleship.
• We were shaped for serving God
– so your fourth purpose is to practice real ministry.
• We were made for a mission
– so your fifth purpose is to live out real evangelism.
17. The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:4-5)
25. Faith, derived from Latin fides
In the context of religion, one can define faith as
confidence or trust in a particular system of
religious belief.
26. Jeremiah knew what God wanted him to do. Yet even
after he received his divine call, he was still a dubious
candidate: “Ah, Sovereign Lord,” he said, “I do not
know how to speak; I am only a child.”
(Jeremiah 1:6)
27. “‘Woe to me!’ I cried. ‘I am ruined! For I am a man of
unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips,
and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty’”
(Isaiah 6:5Jeremiah 1:5)
28. “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past
nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of
speech and tongue.” (Exodus 4:10)
29. “The Lord said to him [Moses], ‘Who gave man his mouth?
Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes
him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak
and will teach you what to say’.”
(Exodus 4:11-12).
30. God did not disqualify Jeremiah on the basis of
his youth and inexperience. In fact, he
treated him the same way he treated Moses.
Jeremiah may have had reasonable doubts. But
God exposed his false humility for what it
really was: a lack of faith.
31. But once you know what God has
called you to do, trust him to equip you to
do it.
32. Once God had issued his divine call and dealt with his
dubious candidate, he gave him a dangerous commission:
“You must go to everyone I send you to and say
whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for
I am with you and will rescue you”
(Jeremiah 1:7-8).
