Daniel receives a vision from an angelic being who provides guidance and encouragement. Daniel had been praying for three weeks seeking understanding from God. Though his prayers were heard from the first day, the angel explains that his journey was delayed for 21 days due to spiritual warfare with the princes of Persia. The angel reassures Daniel not to be afraid, as he is very precious to God. Daniel learns that as a spiritual leader he is engaged in both physical and spiritual battles, and must face struggles through prayer and perseverance with God's strength.

6. 1 1 In the third year of Cyrus king
of Persia, a revelation was given
to Daniel (who was called
Belteshazzar). Its message was
true and it concerned a great
war.[a] The understanding of the
message came to him in a vision.
2 At that time I, Daniel, mourned
for three weeks.
7. 3 I ate no choice food; no meat or
wine touched my lips; and I used
no lotions at all until the three
weeks were over.
4 On the twenty-fourth day of the
first month, as I was standing on
the bank of the great river, the
Tigris,
5 I looked up and there before me
was a man dressed in linen, with a
belt of fine gold from Uphaz
around his waist.
8. 6 His body was like topaz, his face
like lightning, his eyes like flaming
torches, his arms and legs like the
gleam of burnished bronze, and
his voice like the sound of a
multitude.
7 I, Daniel, was the only one who
saw the vision; those who were
with me did not see it, but such
terror overwhelmed them that
they fled and hid
themselves.
9. 8 So I was left alone, gazing at this
great vision; I had no strength left,
my face turned deathly pale and I
was helpless.
9 Then I heard him speaking, and
as I listened to him, I fell into a
deep sleep, my face to the ground.
10.
11. is complete trust or confidence in
someone or something.
strong belief in God or in the
doctrines of a religion, based on
spiritual apprehension rather than
proof.
12. 1 Now faith is confidence in
what we hope for and
assurance about what we do
not see.
13. means being sure of the things we
hope for and knowing that
something is real even if we do not
see it.
14. 5 I looked up and saw a man
dressed in linen clothing, with a
belt of pure gold around his
waist.
6 His body looked like a precious
gem. His face flashed like
lightning, and his eyes flamed like
torches. His arms and feet shone
like polished bronze, and his
voice roared like a vast multitude
of people.
15. 7 Only I, Daniel, saw this vision.
The men with me saw nothing,
but they were suddenly terrified
and ran away to hide.
8 So I was left there all alone to
see this amazing vision.
17. God is going to move
some of you while others
just want to go out to eat.
18. 8b My strength left me, my face
grew deathly pale, and I felt very
weak.
9 Then I heard the man speak, and
when I heard the sound of his
voice, I fainted and lay there with
my face to the ground.
22. 10 Just then a hand touched me and
lifted me, still trembling, to my hands
and knees. 11 And the man said to me,
“Daniel, you are very precious to God,
so listen carefully to what I have to say
to you. Stand up, for I have been sent
to you.” When he said this to me, I
stood up, still trembling.
23. 8 For this is what the Lord
Almighty says: “After the Glorious
One has sent me against the
nations that have plundered
you—for whoever touches you
touches the apple of his eye
24. You are very precious to
God. Not only does God
loves you but
He likes you as well.
25.
26. 12 Then he said, “Don’t be afraid,
Daniel. Since the first day you began
to pray for understanding and to
humble yourself before your God,
your request has been heard in
heaven. I have come in answer to
your prayer.
27. 13 But for twenty-one days the spirit
prince of the kingdom of Persia
blocked my way. Then Michael, one
of the archangels, came to help me,
and I left him there with the spirit
prince of the kingdom of Persia.
28. “What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has
conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for
those who love him—
29. Since the first time
you begin to pray
your prayer has been
heard in heaven.
30. 13 But for twenty-one days the
spirit prince of the kingdom of
Persia blocked my way. Then
Michael, one of the archangels,
came to help me, and I left him
there with the spirit prince of the
kingdom of Persia.
31. When Daniel start praying,
21 days ago, it looks like God
wasn’t doing anything. But
actually He is doing more than
you understand!
34. 17 How can someone like me,
your servant, talk to you, my
lord? My strength is gone, and I
can hardly breathe.” 18 Then the
one who looked like a man
touched me again, and I felt my
strength returning. 19 “Don’t be
afraid,” he said, “for you are very
precious to God. Peace! Be
encouraged! Be strong!”
35. To stand in faith always remember
that;
He cares about me more than I
do.
Doing more than we understand.
His strength is made perfect in my
weakness.
36. The vision Daniel receives in Chapter
10 presents him with a deeper
challenge than any in his past. he now
learns he is engaged in spiritual
warfare. In his dialogue with an Angel,
Daniel learns some important lessons
every leader ought to master.
43. As you seek to lead in a more
strategic way, recognize that
you will encounter struggles
beyond mere human
opposition. You must wisely
face an invisible, spiritual world
around you. You need both
prayer and persistence.
