SUCCESSFUL SERVICE
1) Serve at least the 1200 service hours
2) Complete the program requirements
3) Continue serving through the end of your service term
4) Complete end-of-service tasks

• Your students will likely not receive Literacy Lab services if
you leave
• No pro-rated AmeriCorps benefits
• Rare exceptions for compelling personal circumstances

• Halts the requirement for student loan repayment for the
duration of service
• Only federally backed student loans are eligible
• You can request this benefit through My AmeriCorps as early
as next week
*If your loans don’t qualify for this benefit, you may qualify for
income-based repayment plans. More information about that is
