Since our beginnings in 1945 in the small town
of Lammhult in southern Sweden, Lammhults
has adhered to the principles of the Modern
Movement instilled in the company by our
founder Edvin Ståhl. Today you can follow the
tracks back in time through our rich heritage
of design classics. Timeless pieces of furniture
that also point to the future. Unique designs

Our production facility in Lammhult, southern Sweden,
is a modern 10,000 square meter factory that also
houses our headquarters with staff and operations
center along with a large showroom.

At Lammhults we work with timeless designs of the highest
quality to ensure the longest product life. In order to reduce the
consumption of resources and lessen the environmental impact
we develop and produce products from materials that can be
recycled as materials or energy. We strive to prevent pollution in
all of our company processes and work to successfully reduce the
environmental and climate footprint of our production facilities.

We work actively with the Swedish
furniture industry performance certifica-
tion system, Möbelfakta, with an ever-
increasing number of certified products.
A piece of Lammhults furniture that lives
up to the requirements of Möbelfakta
has undergone extensive quality tests, is
produced according to ethical guidelines,
and has been approved according to
environmental requirements. Möbelfakta
is a guarantee of the highest quality.
Lammhults’ goal is to be able to certify
all our products according to Möbelfakta
within a 5-year period.

Lammhults is certified according to ISO 14001 and
ISO 19001 since 1998 and we continue to work with
environmental issues to ensure the least possible
environmental impact from all our processes.
We certify selected volume products
according to the Nordic Ecolabel, which
is the toughest eco-labelling system in
the industry. Our strategy of certifying
primarily our volume products means that
we reach the greatest positive effect.

LINDAU & LINDEKRANTZ
Already in the early 1960s Lammhults understood the value
of strengthening their design identity and invited the design
duo Lindau & Lindekrantz to work with them. In 1965,
Lammhults asked Lindau & Lindekrantz to design a chair for
public use. The answer was no, instead of one chair, Lindau
and Lindekrantz offered two: Ritz and Royal. The chairs
were the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration that
was to last for two decades.

Over the course of the next 20 years,
Lindau & Lindekrantz created scores
of designs for Lammhults, establishing
themselves and the company as a
reference point for leading Scandinavian
design. During Lammhults collaboration
with Börge Lindau and Bo Lindekrantz,
a number of important furniture designs
were developed that paved the way for
the Lammhults of today. For example
the S70 series, launched in 1968, that
for its time was very playful, clear and
unique with its colorful furniture made of
bent steel tubing. Lammhults ﬁrst inhouse
upholstered piece, Häcken sofa, was also
a work of Lindau & Lindekrantz, as well as
the classic Planka chair.

JOHANNES FOERSOM
& PETER HIORT-LORENZEN
Working as partners since 1977, Johannes Foersom and Peter
Hiort-Lorenzen approached Lammhults in 1986 with the idea
to cooperate in the creation of a new set of furniture designs
for the international marketplace. Following the success of their
ﬁrst upholstered pieces, Peter & Johannes brought international
acclaim to Lammhults with the Campus chair in 1992.

Guided by the principle that furniture
must not dominate its surroundings, Peter
Hiort-Lorenzen & Johannes Foersom set out
to create strong, silent designs. As Peter
explains: “The hardest part of our work is
to reach the point where our designs are
totally clear, the point where all the ‘noise’
is gone from the design.”
Light, precise and practical, the measure
of success of the designs done by Peter &
Johannes for Lammhults is in the extensive
international design awards they have
won. Lammhults seating and tables by
Peter & Johannes can be found in the most
prestigious interiors of homes and ofﬁces
around the world.

GUNILLA ALLARD
With a background of working with several projects in the
Swedish ﬁlm industry, Gunilla enrolled at Konstfack, the
University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, in
1983, to study interior and furniture design. In 1985 Gunilla
was a visiting student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine
Arts School in Copenhagen.

When newly graduated, in 1988, Gunilla
was selected, as one of ﬁve students,
to participate in a student workshop
arranged by Lammhults, which led to the
start of her carrier as a furniture designer.
Gunilla became Lammhults ﬁrst female
designer and her continued work for
Lammhults has resulted in a numerous
range of furniture design. Cinema easy
chair, designed for Lammhults in 1994,
with details from old sports cars as a
source of inspiration, is the most well-
known of her designs. The statement of the
jury of the George Jensen prize received
in 1996, one of many prestigious awards
received, well describes her products.

The proportions and details of her furniture
reveal a genuine sense of quality.”
Gunilla´s collaboration with Lammhults
during 25 years, as well as designing
kitchens, glassware, lightning and carpets,
makes her one of the foremost names in
contemporary Scandinavian design.

ANYA SEBTON
Anya Sebton’s earliest association with ﬁne design was in
her childhood home in Stockholm. Inﬂuenced by the works
of internationally famous Scandinavian designers that
surrounded her, Anya pursued an academic program of
studies in interior architecture and design.

When Anya Sebton graduated from
Beckmans School of Art, in Stockholm,
she was recognized by Svensk Form by
being one of three designers represented
at the Young Nordic Design exhibition,
which travelled around Europe. The
product chosen was Multiplicity – a lounge
chair with modular capabilities with a
design inspired by the strict minimalist
aesthetics of airplane seating. It was
later delivered to several airport projects
around the world followed by other
succeeding Anya designs.
From these noteworthy beginnings, Anya
has created a full range of innovative,
functional products for Lammhults. Anya
describes the consistent theme to all her
works as disciplined research. “When I
approach a design assignment, I research
the ﬁeld thoroughly, looking for a gap. In
this way, what I design is not just another
product, but an innovation on a theme.”
The designs of Anya Sebton are thoughtful
and reﬁned, demonstrating an intellectual
rationale and a practical sensibility, as
well as an innovative appeal.

JULIA LÄUFER
& MARCUS KEICHEL
In 2014 Lammhults began a collaboration with the Berlin design studio
LÄUFER + KEICHEL. Julia Läufer, a fashion and textile designer, and
Marcus Keichel, architect and industrial designer, founded their ﬁrm
in 2003, focusing on sustainable design solutions in furniture and industrial
design, through exhibition to corporate and communication design. Julia and
Marcus were invited to work with Lammhults and the ﬁrst resulting Lammhults
design is easy chair and sofa Aperi, launched in February 2016.

Julia and Marcus were invited by
Lammhults to work on two different
projects. The ﬁrst result of an intense and
fruitful collaboration is APERI.
Focusing on sustainable design
solutions, their disciplines range from
furniture design and industrial design,
through exhibition to corporate and
communication design.
While Marcus comes from architecture
and industrial design and Julia from
fashion and textile design they founded
their Berlin based design studio
LÄUFER + KEICHEL in 2003.
They have been collaborating with
several different European brands.

TROELS GRUM–SCHWENSEN
Troels Grum-Schwensen is an architect and designer, working with
buildings, interior-design and furniture-design. His furniture is characterised
by innovative, artistic interpretation of the construction, where gravity is
cleverly exploited for locking and stabilizing. The different angles and
proportions are carefully adjusted, in a relationship with the function of the
furniture, in order to achieve an airy, agile and balanced aesthetic.
Together with Lammhults, Troels Grum-Schwensen launched the innovative
table system Attach in February 2016.

Troels Grum-Schwensen is educated
as an Architect and designer from the
Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts in
Copenhagen. He works with buildings,
interior-design and furniture-design. The
approach is the spaces and the humans
living inside them. For that reason many
of the furniture from Troels, is designed
with a high degree of flexibility and
adaptability to fit into different rooms
and architectural environments.
In some of the furniture, this is
achieved through an innovative, artistic
interpretation of the construction, where
gravity is cleverly exploited for locking
and stabilizing.
The different angles and proportions are
carefully adjusted, in a relationship with
the function of the furniture, in order to
achieve an airy, agile and balanced
aesthetic.
Inspirations are multifarious: The material
itself, the springy movement of a cat, the
stalk of a leaf, the light flight of a bird...
Several furniture-designs from Troels
have received design-prizes and Troels
has, among other distinctions, got the
3-year-working-grant from the National
Art-foundation of the Danish State.

LOVE ARBÉN
Love’s interest for art, architecture and culture was something all of
his family shared, which meant that an artistic expression was only
natural. His collaboration with Lammhults started in 1989 after he
had been selected to a workshop project where experienced and
new designers could exchange ideas and inspire each other with
new thinking. Lammhults’ designers Lindau & Lindekrantz acted as
mentors for Love and this led to the start of a fruitful collaboration
between Love and Lammhults.

Love Arbén is not only an architect SIR &
SAR, he has also worked as a professor
at the University College of Arts, Crafts
& Design in Stockholm and has written
several books within architecture.
The clarity of design in the modernist
movement appeals to Love and he talks of
the simplicity of expression in the designs
of this period as being clean – free of
decoration. Modern furniture is at its best
when it becomes “invisible”. The furniture
recedes into its setting, serving not
controlling its space.

The S70 collection was launched in 1968, and it originally included
12 items, ranging from ashtrays and coat hangers to tables and
chairs. The commanding design element of the series, both visual and
structural, was steel tubing, which gave the series its name. The large
diameter of the tubing was a radical departure. This feature plus a
range of bold colors brought instant global recognition to the series
and to Lammhults.
S70-12 coat hanger became a standard ﬁxture in homes and ofﬁces.
Its dramatic style and easy spinning top function make it a practical,
good sense solution.

The Add stool strikes the perfect balance
between aesthetics and function. The sled

Gunilla Allard has developed a new model of the Comet chair family that is both
lighter and smaller without compromising shape or function. Comet Sport has a simple

Dexter is a multifunctional set of solutions in one wire sculpture: seating, stacking, and linking
– a variety of applications with minimalist simplicity. First shown at Superstudio Piú in Milan in
2011, Dexter is the master’s design project from the young Swedish designer Andreas Farkas.

Grade continues its design standards as a single standalone
design. A barstool version has been added to the range,
using the standard Grade seat shell. The concept is built
around a softly shaped polypropylene shell with a molded
relief pattern that follows the curves of the back and seat.
The reliefs are very subtle, not affecting the seating comfort
in any way but giving Grade a strong expression and a
clear identity.

Anya Sebton talks of the balance of a product as being the resolution of three factors:
“Function, ergonomics and aesthetics must be in balance in any product.” Millibar has
that balance. The simplicity of a single supporting leg is matched by the adaptable
comfort of its mesh seating surface. “I wanted to create a barstool that was comfortable
for all users without requiring overly complicated upholstery construction. My ﬁnal idea
was to use a mesh material stretched over a perimeter steel frame.” Millibar is also
available with an upholstered, sculptured molded plywood seat.

The S70 collection was launched in 1968, and it originally
included 12 items, ranging from ashtrays and coat hangers
to tables and chairs. The commanding design element of the
series, both visual and structural, was its large-diameter
tubing in steel, which gave the series its name. This feature,
a radical departure from thin tubing much in vogue, plus a
range of bold colors brought instant global recognition to the
series and to Lammhults. The S70-3 stool remains the fresh
face of Lammhults design, decade after decade.

The design approach for Atlas closely follows the
established successful ethic from Johannes Foersom
and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen: to show the body in a very
schematic way and to show the supporting structure
in a more technical way. The soft sinuous curve of the
seat and back invites the user. “With Atlas we wanted
to make a conference chair, a soft chair for meeting
rooms where comfort is the most important factor.”
The requirements for higher levels of comfort require a
more complex kind of construction. The Atlas solution
is an innovative flexible back, pivoting at mid-point to
allow a relaxing change of position without leaving
the chair.
With a selection of base options, Atlas adapts to most
office applications: a four leg arm and armless chair, a
five-star swivel base and a stackable sled-base chair.

The Lammhults design brief was clear: create a functional
affordable volume chair for the international contract
furniture market. The response was Campus, a technical
and aesthetic success, at home and abroad.
Campus stands apart from all of its predecessors for one
unique aspect: its dual identity. A single, solo Campus chair
is perfect in the simplicity of its design. But Campus has a
parallel identity. The designers explain: “The focus with
Campus was always on all the requirements for places
where you need a lot of chairs in the same place.”
Campus stacks; Campus links; Campus can be managed
easily with its trolley. Campus complements conference,
office, institutional and residential settings with its quiet
capable style.
Lammhults continued the tradition of Scandinavian design leadership
with Campus Air, a plastic version of the Campus chair. Danish designers
Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, together with the Lammhults
product development team, moved Campus forward with a new seat and
back of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide plastic. With its optional weather-
resistant frame, Campus Air can even be used outdoors. The durable solid
polyamide surface resists scratching and is easy to clean.
Campus Air continues the practical performance advantages found in
Lammhults products: it stacks and links and can be easily managed with
the Campus trolley. Available in four-leg or sled base versions, Campus Air
passes California TB 133 flammability tests, and is 100% recyclable.

With Gunilla Allard’s Cinema easy chair, the temptation is to
pause and stay a while. Cinema Sport is for shorter, more
focused sessions. Gunilla explains: “It was very interesting
to re-interpret the form of Cinema to a light, sport chair. Most
people think the name ‘Sport’ comes from the fashion world,
like a sporty clothing collection. But in fact it comes from the
concept of a sports car – small and light for very fast users.”
Because of the scale of this chair, the back is lower than most
meeting room chairs. Gunilla ﬁtted an elastic mesh insert into
the upper back to ensure comfort, a completely new way to
make the back of a chair. “People sit in Cinema Sport and are
surprised by how very comfortable this little chair really is.”

The wide range of products in the Comet family have the unifying themes

Cortina follows the style example of the Modernist classics: organic form
sculptured to closely fit the human body, with minimal upholstery and
maximum comfort. Gunilla Allard explains: “The back was the first thing
I came up with. I wanted to make something thin, something from wood,
showing the grain running across to emphasize how the back surrounds
you in the chair. The connection of the back was next. I wanted to show the
construction. I wanted the eye to come directly to the connection.” Three
strong points of connection are visible on each side. These are not decoration,
but elegant metal connectors that tell you how the chair is made.
Once again Gunilla has brought mid-century Modernist design thinking into
the 21st Century with her typical grace and execution. Structure and function

Grade brings a new level of design sophistication to the plastic stacking shell chair category with its subtly reliefed
polypropylene shell and choice of materials and color schemes. Five levels or “grades” of relief are molded into the
back of Grade, providing a visual rhythm to the chair’s form. The chair shell is available in seven colors of recycled
polypropylene – white/grey, graphite, beige, dark red, black green, blue green and pistachio – with or without an
optional seat pad.
The chair´s steel frame, in arm or armless conﬁguration, comes in chrome or matches the shell color. Match in mono-
chrome or contrast with color, the choice is yours. In addition to the steel frame and swivel base Grade chair is also
available with wooden legs. Grade can be appreciated as a single stand-alone design, or as a seating solution for
the largest conference. The chair’s designers explain: “The chair is a totality of shape – of the shell, the padding

According to the legend Lammhults designer
Börge Lindau spotted a man sitting on the
beach using a washed up plank stuck in the
sand as a backrest and rolled up his towel as
a headrest. This inspiration fed the design of
Planka in which there is no departure of form
from function. Planka has a full 360° swivel and an
adjustable headrest. All that’s missing is the beach.

influences from both Japan and Denmark … details from the Asahikawa in

Spira is all about comfort in a chair for large installations. The designers
explain: “Our primary approach was to the issue of comfort. When you want
to make a comfortable chair, you also have to make it look comfortable.
Of course it is easy to give the illusion of comfort with big soft cushions or
upholstery. With Spira, the comfort image is its shape. We knew it had to
be an upholstered chair but still usable as a volume chair, with volume chair
features, like linking and stacking.”
Spira adds flexibility to its comfort performance. The separate back connects
to the seat frame with two spring steel inserts that allow seven degrees of

Lammhults’ early collaboration with the designers Börge Lindau and Bo
Lindekrantz lead to many successful products. The second product group, named
X75, was introduced in 1972. Many of the pieces could be folded, such as the
timeless X75-2, with steel tube frame and canvas seat and back. The practical
nature of folding furniture which allowed more compact living became an
embellishment to the playful stylistic nature of the Lindau-Lindekrantz design.

The A–Line collection offers a system approach for adapting seating to its space:
sectional seating with the look of a sofa. Anya Sebton explains: “A–Line is a light
design with new possibilities, a set of solutions, with a softer look, for any
seating situation.”
The design idea is that a support beam or bar is concealed in the seating. Anya has
crafted the light, thin-line design of A–Line by balancing style with technology.
A–Line’s concealed beam is a wide ﬂat aluminum extrusion, reducing the mass
of the seat. A–Line is available with sled or pillar bases, as well as optional modular
connecting tables. The internal construction of the seat and back are unique.
“I wanted A–line to be really thin. This detail required an innovative ‘pocket spring’
system inside the seat foam for maximum comfort. Comfort is really important for
this product. With A–line we wanted a softer and more ﬂexible solution.”

Modular furniture is the carte blanche of space adaptation in furniture.
But modular furniture is often boxy and boring. Not Addit. With a high
level of comfort and several different units, Addit is a collection of modular
components that inspires to creative and flexible solutions.

The Area series, by Anya Sebton, consists
of several modular units: right, left, center,
and corner units with high or low back, plus
two different shaped foot stools, a table in
perforated sheet metal and an easy chair
with two different base options. Modular
construction allows assembly of sofa
conﬁgurations of two-seat, three-seat or more,
using a unique patented magnetic linking
system. The foot stools are also modular and
can be linked together to form smart benches
or tables, alone or with seating modules.
Anya explains: “With the diagonal line in the
front we create a completely unique character
which I haven´t seen anywhere else.” The
high back version offers a feeling of seclusion
in open areas and enables building a soft,
sophisticated room within a room.

The Cajal seating collection celebrates the modernist clarity of structure, with the
accent on its exposed frame. Gunilla Allard explains that the visible steel tubing
in her design encloses the back, “like the stroke of a pen or a cajal pencil.”
Available as a small or large sofa, and an easy chair, Cajal emphasizes comfort,
with added support for the lower back. Parallel seams on the sofa back add
rhythm and character. The seat consists of two moldings that enclose the
steel tubing: the inner molding for comfort; the outer for stability. Combining

After Gunilla Allard’s successful involvement in the Lammhults student design workshop
she brought a new design to the company. The Cinema easy chair was first shown at the
Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1993 to a very enthusiastic design world.
Gunilla points to her inspiration for Cinema found in the seating of sports cars: crafted
leather stitching and strong-support comfort in a modest space. Cinema wears these
influences well. The easy chair remains a model of efficiency in style and execution, with
exceptional comfort and modest space requirements.
A Cinema foot stool and a Cinema sofa, as well as a range of complimentary Cinema
tables, completes the Cinema collection.

The Club easy chair offers relaxed sitting for planned or spontaneous exchanges
of ideas and information in environments wherever people meet for conversation
and work. Club is a comfortable alternative to stiff, formal meeting chairs and can
be supplemented with an optional writing tablet.
The Club easy chair is fully upholstered and has a low back. The seat and back,
with an internal steel frame, are of molded polyurethane, using differing densities
of foam. The base is available either as sled base in bent powder coated or
chromium plated steel tubing, or as a swivel base with powder coated or stainless
steel pillar and foot plate.

The Cover easy chair proves the old adage that ‘All good things come in
small packages.’ The small footprint of Cover provides maximum utility
and comfort in an efﬁcient scale. Cover is all about form and function.
The soft organic shape of the chair can be upholstered in fabric or leather,
or in combination; the seat and back can mix complimentary colors and
textures, allowing a creative approach to adapting the chair to its setting.
Cover is available with wheels or glides or in combination, and in two
seat heights, with features such as a side pocket, an underseat shelf, or
a retractable tablet arm.
As the chair’s designer, Love Arbén, explains: “With this easy chair,
everyone can create their own “cover.”

The Portus seating series offers many possibilities
– a stopping point, a meeting point, a relaxing space
or a sharing space – all created by the combination
of three simple elements: a soft sculptural bench, an
ergonomic support cushion alternatively decoration
pillows, and a shapely back.

The bench comes in three sizes, and can be used in
either free-standing or combination mode with back
and support elements creating an easy chair, 2 or
3 seater sofa. The bench base, in wood or steel, is
a straightforward expression of Nordic simplicity.
The curved back surrounds the seat and is available

commanding presence in the interior, adding visual

The S70 collection was launched in 1968, and it originally included 12 items, ranging from
ashtrays and coat hangers to tables and chairs. The commanding design element of the
series, both visual and structural, was steel tubing, which gave the series its name. The large
diameter of the tubing was a radical departure. This feature plus a range of bold colors
brought instant global recognition to the series and to Lammhults.
The easy chair and sofa, reintroduced in 2012, were logical extensions of the S70 family,
offering plush upholstered comfort in a compact size.

The story of the Sahara chair is one of bringing an adventure
to life. Gunilla Allard explains: “I had this feeling in me for a
long time … dreaming of Africa, of lodge life, of the rugged
but beautiful life on the plains. I had seen many images that I
liked and I kept them in a file for a number of years.” When
Gunilla began to bring these ideas to life, she chose a seating
style that was graceful, lower and deeper, more relaxed than
her other upholstered seating designs.
The profile of Sahara is exquisite. Generously proportioned
seat and back cushions supported by elegant legs of either
metal or wood set a soft angle. The back is held in place by
a simple flat bar of steel. But it is the arms of Sahara that
please and give the person sitting in the chair the sense of
elegant relaxation Gunilla imagined. “The arm is low in back
and higher in the front, true to how our body adapts to a
lounge chair.”
Sahara is available as an easy chair and a two- or three-
seater sofa; Sahara Wood is available as an easy chair and
two-seater sofa.

Add is the small side table that comes to you, or comes
with you. The subtle tilt of the table brings support to your
work or play without the usual intrusion of perimeter legs.
The leaning design creates a playful sense of motion for the

The Archal table series came to life as the complement to the Archal chair, using the same design
references to sculpture in metal casting and the same bold linear style. The entire Archal table series
is designed in scale and proportion for smaller groups and smaller settings.
The original Archal table series uses cast aluminum legs. The Archal X and Archal T tables combine
extruded steel tubing pillars and cast aluminum feet, with textured coatings or polished chrome.

A series of small tables in different heights, shapes and materials to complement the Cajal
seating series. The thin but strong solid steel frame gives Cajal table an airy expression
and comes in chrome or powder coated. The table tops, in several shapes and sizes are

available in Carrara marble creating an exquisite accent. Mix and match, create the perfect
