oInformatica Corporation is a software development company founded
in 1993.
oIt is headquartered in Redwood City, California.
oIt was founded by Gaurav Dhillon and Diaz Nesamoney.
oAnil Chakravarthy is the company's CEO.
oInformatica's product is a portfolio focused on data integration: ETL,
information lifecycle management, B2B data exchange, cloud data
integration, complex event processing, data masking, data quality,
data replication, data virtualization, master data management, ultra
messaging. These components form a toolset for establishing and
maintaining enterprise-wide data warehouses. It has a customer base
of over 5,000 companies.
oIn 2006, Informatica launched its Informatica Cloud business Here, we would only be discussing about the
Financial department of Informatica Coporation

3. FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT (HOW IS
KNOWLEDGE SHARED ?)
Internal
Process documents: where it is mentioned as to how
the process works and the different accounting
standards complying with the methodologies used in
the books of accounts.
The process docs are used for the training of new
employees as well.
Other than this, there are some exception documents
which are used for the other inter and intra
departmental works.

4. Since it is the ‘financial dept’, it doesn’t have any
such
contact with the external clients.
Their main base is in USA and they have to comply
with the timings of each other(the employees of USA
and India) to work beneficially.
There is a huge time difference between both their
working hours. So, sometimes the employees here
have to stretch, at other times their employees.
This mainly happens for month end, quarter end and
year end activities.
They only deal with the finances and accounts.
