• .gif
• .png
3. Using the Wordpress media
library
• Both photo and video can be added to your Wordpress
library.
• The media library can be accessed by going to
Dashboard < Media.
• You can add photo or video files by choosing Add new
and then uploading a file from your computer.
• The file is now readily available for your use.
• It is recommended that you download photos to your
Media Library instead of linking to them online.
• However, when possible embed video to avoid filling up
your Wordpress site.

• mp4, .m4v (MPEG-4)
• .mov (QuickTime)
• .wmv (Windows Media Video)
• .avi
• .mpg
• .ogv (Ogg)

5. How to embed a video
• Although there is variation in how videos can be
linked to Wordpress, the general principles of
embedding are the same.
• Typically you will find a share link under a video
online. Click on the share link, view the embed
code, then paste that code into your post.
• Note, you will need to use the HTML viewer, not
the visual viewer.
