2. I have decided to cast Oscar Jenkinson as the protagonist
because, with his background in background in performing in
all of the school productions, he will be able to present the
variety of emotions in a very realistic way. I need the acting of
this character to be realistic in order for the video to be
effective which is something that I think Oscar can easily bring
to the role. Also, my intended target audience of 30+ will have
been around Oscar’s age (17) when Disco 2000 was released
which means that they will be able to relate to his character as
they know what it’s like to be a teenager in this era.
I have decided to cast Georgia Stickley as Deborah. Once
again, she is of the same age as Oscar which will be relatable
to my target audience. Through doing drama A level, I believe
that Georgia has the acting skills necessary for this role. I got
the chance to watch Georgia’s A Level piece for drama and she
demonstrated a realistic acting technique that will be perfect
for this role. As well as this, Oscar and Georgia are good
friends which means that they will have a believable
relationship which will work well with the narrative.
3. Supporting Actors
This group of people have agreed to act as party guests in my
film. The group consists of: Isabella Rix, Jake Adams, Matilda
White, Rosie Mabb, Sophie Bradwell, Even Soloman, Beth Swan,
Sarah Brooks, Sam Whittingham, Rowan Ellwell, Dexter Gibson,
Mabel Collins, Faegan White, Toby Matthews.
They all have acting experience having either done GCSE Drama, A
Level Drama or been in the productions. They will be convincing
actors and are already a group of friends so will have a believable
friendship relationship on camera.
