Their hair is quite short but still carries the pop-punk
style of being slightly messy.

They have tattoos, but unlike rock not loads.
•
They also wear darker coloured clothes such as red and
black which is also a key feature of the look for this
genre.
3. NECK DEEP
• Neck Deep are a pop-punk band from Wrexham, UK.
• Their star image contains general features of many pop-punk bands such as chequered tops, hats, and long, messy
hair, but also well styled.
• They wear darker coloured clothes and hoodies.
• They have a laid back appearance with their hands behind their backs or in the pockets, giving off an aura of not
caring which is also a key theme in the lyrics of Neck Deeps music and also in other pop -punk bands.
4. BLINK-182

Blink-182 are a pop-punk/alternative rock band from California.
•
The images show how their image has changed as the look of the
genre has. The image on the left from 2000 shows the band with
messy hair, baggy jeans and shorts, and the image below from 2013
shows how the bands image has changed to darker clothes, shorter
hair and hats.

In both images the members have tattoos showing that some
features of the genre have remained the same as tattoos are an
iconic part of the rock/pop-punk image and for this reasons many
pop-punk band members wear short sleeved t-shirts to highlight this.
5. GREEN DAY

Green day is an American punk rock band formed in 1987.

They have short, messy punk styled hair, eyeliner, leather
jackets and skinny jeans and this is part of their iconic
image.
