Acer Aspire S7: Aspiring for the Future
1.
2. Computex 2011 was a success. What may have shaken the laptop industry was
when Intel presented its grand plans for Ultrabooks for 2012. Any laptop company
would love to have Intel products on their laptops. Intel lay down some really strict,
if not ambitious, standards in order to keep with the escalating Ultrabook standards.
If one company can cope with the pressure, Acer can surely take the heat. What
turned out to be Intel’s Ultrabook dreams in 2012 is manifesting. Acer showcased
their latest ultrabook, the Aspire S7 series during the Computex 2012. Many have
anticipated its release and some sell old laptop just to save money in time for its
massive commercial release.
The Aspire S7 series comes either in a 13.3 or 11.6 inch
model with around a 12.5 mm-thick unibodyaluminium
and backlit keyboards. Both laptops are rumored to
offer excellent HD displays and the so-called Twin Air
cooling system in case of overheating. The Aspire S7
series will be run by Windows 8; so expect these laptops
to come months after Windows 8 is commercially
released. The 13.3-inch model differs from the smaller
model because it may have 12 hours of battery life,
and a glass lid, which was unique to HP’s Envy 14
Spectre. The 11.6-inch model may have nine hours of
battery life. Known for its discretion, Acer separately
reveals the S7’s price and availability per region. So,
expect an update anytime now.
3. The Aspire S7 comes in different covers. Having
a glass lid, the 13.3-inch model is a must-see.
The glass lid has a subtle glean but do not
expect it to be mirror-like. Because it is also
white, the lid manages to look distinct from HP
Spectre’s glass top. The 11.6-inch model has a
metal cover with engraved patterns visible
even from afar. The engraved pattern provides
a good grip for user-convenience.
The Aspire S7 is comparable to its predecessors, the S3 and S5 because the series
has some similar features. They have the same layout and low pitch. Yet, S7’s
metallic chassis and bottom and plastic-constructed keys make the latest version
distinct from the older versions. S7’s clickpad is easy to press, which promises a
good head start for S7’s future release. Cash for laptops is lucrative giving you
enough time and money to get one.
People have been anticipating the Acer Aspire S7’s release. Other excited
notebook fanatics see the Aspire S7 to be a tough competitor with Apple and
ASUS, whose 1080p IPS displays, backlit keyboards, and metallic covers are hard to
defeat. Ultrabooks are a tough market to win so Acer needs to give more quality
enhancements to win the hearts of many. However, Acer’s touchscreen is a
4. highlight. The touchscreen proved to be working well. The screen will focus on
Window 8’s unique features.
Intel’s escalating standards have become a milestone in Ultrabook. Many
manufacturers have been making improvements just to be at par with Intel’s
standards. Companies like Acer have certainly kept in line with the long tradition of
excellence in notebook manufacturing. The Acer Aspire S7 is a coveted laptop and
what better way to buy it than to sell your laptop and buy it once it is released.
