Camera Shots
Close up: There is a close up
on the females face when
Justin states “I‟ve never seen
you before”, by having a
close up at that moment it
lets us analyse the females
face if we can recognise her.
Close up: Here we see
another close up, the side of
the girls face as Justin
Whispers in her ear we are
able to see her emotion and
guess what he may be
whispering in her ear
according to her facial
expression.
Wide shot: In this shot we are
able to see the singer this is
also done to remind the
viewers of the singer and for
publicity of the artist. This is
also done to make the
viewers feels as though they
are there present watching
the artist perform.
Wide shot: In this shot we
see we see a clear love affair
happening. We are able to
see the female kissing Justin
and on the other hand you
can see her holing hands
with the guy behind Justin.
By wearing brace
straps they it
represents the
time period as
well telling us
that it was set
around the late
1800
Looking at Justin‟s
outfit it is very casual
and a typical males
clothing which
represents him as a
working class
gentlemen.
Justin Timberlake“what goes around
comes around”
Hair/ Make up
The eye make up is very bold
and dark this is done to
enhance their eyes and make
them stand out to the men. Also
looking at the females hair style
it shows time period very old
classic hair style, very similar to
Marilyn Monroe
Looking at this dancer at a club
you can see that she is very
revealing and this was done at
seduce men at the club, as it was
mainly men who would attend,
purely to see women half dressed
and looking seductive.
5. Props
Glass: Here we are able to
see women holing a drink, this
prop is symbolic because this
automatically shows us that
they must be at an event,
where alcohol is involved this
may result in any later actions.
Makeup: Seeing the makeup
being applied on by the
women shows us that she is
getting ready for a show or
even preparing to attend a
show, therefore this shows us
where the setting will be.
Microphone: This particular
prop is very symbolic because
it automatically shows the us
the time it is set in which
would be around the late 80‟s.
Fire Hoops/Sticks: This prop
shows us where exactly it is
set and it also hints danger to
us as it keeps cutting back to
shots of the hoops, this may
also be a foreshadowing of
what’s to come.
Cars: The cars are symbolic
because it connotes danger
and very upbeat. The type of
car has an impact because it
is a extremely fast car.
Sound
Dialogue: in this music video there is dialogue added in in some parts of the video,
the music stops and there is a conversation going on. This is very effective because
it is a narrative and there is a story being told through out the video and we are able
to follow it and understand the story. By having the dialogue added we are able to
understand the situation and it makes it appear more realistic and adds a lot of
naturalism to the music video.
Non-Diegetic: The non Diegetic sound tin this music video would have to be the
actual music itself that has been added in to resemble the music video. And most
likely the car crash sound effects have also been added in to make it more extreme
to leave an impact on the viewers.
Diegetic: There is a lot of diegetic sound in this music video, there is diegetic sound
every time the music is cut of and we have a bit of dialogue and a conversation
taking place you are able to here diegetic sound. By having diegetic sound in the
music video relates really well with the style of the music video as it‟s a narrative it
guides us through the story line.
Justin Timberlake“what goes around
comes around”
This particular course is very
symbolic with the music
video because you see in
the music video objects such
as fire stick and hoops being
spun around to resemble the
lyrics.
Music: The music‟s tempo, pace, pitch, volume really
relate to the images and movement of the video a good
example would be when the car is chasing the other car
the pace speeds up and it gets louder with a high tempo
which makes the scene heart racing and with
anticipation watching carefully at what may happen.
LYRICS
“What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around”

Costumes/ Clothing
Roller-skates: Roller-skates in this music
video is quite effective because not only
does it show the time period as they
would n9ormally roller-skate quite a bit
back in the day and flirt but it also shows
their age group of playing around and
laughing which links in well with the
tempo and the pace of the song.
Shorts:
The fact that the actress in the music video is
wearing really short shorts this is to show of
her legs and attract the male attention.
This will draw in the viewers and most likely
attract more fans to the band. It relates really
well with the lyrics because the song is about
a 17years old girl and just having fun. Therefor
this image really brings out the girls age by
wearing such short clothing showing off her
features.
Bike: The use of a bike
is really nice because it

In this the girl has a very short skirt this makes
