offered during the 10 -11 May 2015, as part of the Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) Improvement Project
of South Africa, implemented by UNIDO.
This course has been accredited by the South African Institute for Mechanical Engineering (SAIMechE)
and carries with it 2 CPD Credits (category 1).
The CPD Accreditation number is: SAIMechE – 0489-10/14
You may apply to SAIMechE for the CPD credits and submit this letter as proof of your attendance.
Your attendance of this course qualifies you to be considered for the Expert Level course in Pump
System Optimisation. Successful completion of the expert course would qualify you to be considered for
a contract with UNIDO to perform one or more of the following roles on an ad hoc basis:
1. Expert consultant. Assist with Energy Efficiency Assessments of Pump Systems for companies that
participate in the IEE Project.
2. Workshop facilitator. Conduct half-day and/or 1-day workshops with stakeholders. The purpose of
these workshops are to:
a. raise awareness about Industrial Energy Efficiency;
b. promote behaviour that contributes to increased Energy Efficiency; and
c. encourage increased participation in the IEE Project.
3. Expert Trainer. Train Advanced and Expert level learners.
