Make sure everyone has logged on to the computers and accessed the Internet successfully.
Refer learners to the agenda
Once you have your email loaded, look at the menu above the Tiger head. Click on “Sites”.
You will want to select the top option on the next page.
Create new site and……
A security warning should appear. Since we know that our IT department has approved our use of Google Sites, we will click on NO so that all content will be delivered.
Plans are a great thing to have. Sometimes, however, it is difficult to make plans for a journey to a place you have never been and have no knowledge of. Google sites walks you through the process pretty painlessly. The only thing you truly cannot change will be the Name of your site once you have it created. But, even then, you can delete the entire page and start over. We will talk about how to do that later.

Google Sites provides a selection of Templates to choose from and while that is great, unless you have the content to fill the site, it may not be the best choice today. But, just so you get an idea of what these sites templates can do, we are going to take a look at a few.

What’s in a name?
If you teach a program only, you may want to name your site that way, ex. Automotive Technology
If you teach a variety of courses, you may want to name your site with your last name.
Themes add color, personality, and cohesiveness to a website.
Select one that reflects your Style!
When you are ready to let Jane link your site to the District Webpage you will need to Share with Everyone. While we are working on building your site, let’s mark it for Only people I specify.
Please leave the Mature content box BLANK!
