■Davao City received an award of excellence from the Office of the President as the 1st Runner-up in the Cleanest and Greenest Highly-Urbanized City in the
Philippines-Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran Awards 2004, and the second runner up for three consecutive years in 2001-2003.

■Davao City was awarded the Cleanest and Greenest City in 1999 for its clean and green program that focus on environmental rehabilitation, protection and
conservation, intensification of solid waste management program, pollution control, re-greening of the urban areas, forest and watershed management.
MOST CHILD-FRIENDLE CITY IN THE PHILIPPINES
■Davao City came out the runaway choice for the coveted spot in the first-ever selection of the Most Child-Friendly City in the Philippines in 1988 and 1999 due to
its local government’s programs and initiatives directly benefiting the children.
■It has also won nods for the initiative to pass a landmark legislation- the Davao City Children’s Welfare Code of 1994, the first of its kind in the country, specifically
geared towards addressing the rights, services and protection of children, therefore upholding their welfare and interests in high regard.

SEATTLE is the only ETS-authorized iBT TOEFL test center among English Academies in the Philippines. It has been administering TOEFL tests since
2007. SEATTLE is one of the few test centers in the world that provides one testing room for each test taker, eradicating all possible disturbances and
noise, besides offering privacy. While you are studying in SEATTLE, you can take the actual test at your own convenience.
The 10-hour daily program including the intensive one-on-one and small group classes is geared to maximize the students' exposure to English
language, exploring all possibilities of learning, which will eventually lead to achieving their goals.
SEATTLE is an academy which offers a conducive atmosphere for studying through implementing strict rules and standardized daily and weekly tests.
To ensure security as much as the students’ progress, students are not allowed to go out without permission on weekdays, and they have to attend
night study. But on weekends, students can go out freely and enjoy the city life with all the recreational activities that it has to offer, such as scuba
diving, golf and other leisure activities.
In SEATTLE, every teacher has to take TOEIC and TOEFL tests periodically to provide first-rate class performance. Multinational faculty members
provide the best possible education to students. SEATTLE is one of few academies with weekly training for teachers every Saturday and most of our
teachers have high scores in TOEIC, and TOEFL Test.
The newly built school facilities provide premier comfort and convenience best for English language learners. It has a basketball court, two table
tennis tables, and a gym to help students stay fit. It also has a spacious library and speaking rooms. SEATTLE is both wired and wireless internet-ready.
Davao City is one of the most peaceful cities, not only in the Philippines, but also in South East Asia. Three security guards are on duty 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, ensuring the students security within school premises. Besides that, there are more than 16 surveillance cameras around the school.

19. TOEFL iBT Test?
The TOEFL iBT test measures students’ ability to use and understand English at the
university level. And it evaluates how well he combines his listening, reading, speaking
and writing skills to perform academic tasks.
The TOEFL iBT test consists of 4 sections, Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The
highest possible score is 120 with 30 points per each section.
As TOEFL becomes one of the basis for universities to accept students who are not native
speakers, our academy has developed a program that helps students achieve high scores in
TOEFL test.
