2. Our task
We had to pick a big question and just type down everything
we know about it. In this case, hormones :)
3. GIRLS!
Puberty starts when hormones are sent from
the brain to the ovaries. These hormones
are like chemical messages that cause the
ovaries to release other hormones. All these
hormones work together to trigger the
changes in puberty.
4. Some people think that hormones start kicking in at puberty, but they affect our
bodies even during early childhood. When they hit puberty the hormones will begin
to make major lasting changes to a girls body.
Both girls and boys will start to have mood swings like the laughing and crying for
no reason at all. Then you might feel depressed or bad, or you might feel grumpy
and then really crazy and weird. These sudden mood changes are partly caused by
the increasing amount of hormones in the body.
5. For girls it can be pretty bad, one minute your laughing and then you feel like crying
the next. The big hormone in girls is called estrogen it is the main hormones of
pregnancy, it supports the production of fluid in the reproductive track which
enhances the survival of sperm.
Towards the end of the pregnancy, estrogen promotes the growth of milk within the
breasts and enhances the effect of prolactin (major hormone responsible for
lactation in the female) (lactation is the milk in the breasts for a child).
6. I asked three people about what they are staring to feel like and if they have had
any sodden mood swings and this is what they said...
I usually feel really energetic most of the time, and then I get really down for no
reason at all.
I feel really crazy and energetic all the time.
Um probably crazy and happy, but all my friends and I are staring to get grumpy
really easily.
7. BOYS!
Puberty in boys starts when hormones are sent from
the brain to the testicles, this is like a chemical
message that causes the testicles to release other
hormones. This starts the changes in puberty.
8. For a boy, there isn’t just one event or sign that you’re growing up. There are lots
of them. As the hormones in a boys body become more active, not only do the
physical changes take place but they start to have more feelings. Boys can find
these feelings very confusing so its important to encourage them to talk to someone
about them and the changes that are happening with their body.
9. Early on in puberty, these hormones (known as gonadotropins) are produced only
at night but as puberty progresses, these hormones are being produced around the
clock.
10. What I think
With all these hormones racing around our bodies, is it any wonder that 11 - 14
boys and girls are irrational, grumpy, moody and generally strange!!!
I am dealing with it and its really annoying some times! My friends and I are looking
ford to the teen years! not!! but we will deal with it :)
11. THANK YOU!!
Thank you for watching I didn’t have that much information
on the boys but I still found out a lot!! :)
